ABOUT FLOOR STACKING: Triangular foundations are easier to place while standing. When moving from one foundation to another, hold ALT (or lift your mouse off the pad). Walls won’t place if you slightly slip off the half-wall while transitioning—that will break the stack. Try to land precisely on the half-wall and step off it without sliding.
ABOUT BEEHIVE PLACEMENT: They can be placed in completely random spots with no clear pattern. You can fit up to 21 hives in this apiary (even more if they place on grass), but realistically, you’ll get around 15-17 hives (about 1000 scrap per hour). If a hive won’t place, try all four sides and slightly adjust your position. If it still won’t work, just skip that spot like I did.
You can fully seal off the large square by removing the door. Place a sleeping bag and dropbox inside to transfer honey through it. However, I don’t recommend upgrading to metal—it’s too expensive.
Cost:
Building: 9k stone, 2k wood
Upkeep: 1200 stone, 80 metal
And yeah, you can expand as much as you want. Just keep extending the foundations forward in the direction the TC is facing.
