Been working for years now as a TV&Film writer/critic. As such my days are spent watching pretty much everything. From small local student films through to Hollywood 'blockbusters'. This special was honestly one of the best things I've seen in ages. I'm scouse and a long time fan of the pod, but ignoring that bias it has better production values, pacing, cinematography, storytelling, use of tone etc than 99% of the 'travel porn' shows currently on BBC, Sky, streaming etc. The fact this is free to watch is insane. This should be on prime time mainstream television. It has more heart than anything currently out there. Huge well done to those working on the production side of things, it looks great, editing is on point and at no point does it allow itself to become just 'another YouTube video'. The focus on creating something bigger and better is evident. Great stuff.
