L Ron Hubbard can suck a fart out me arse x

EARLY ACCESS: MAD THAT #5 - APOSTATE ALEX

Comments

I love this episode. Please do one on the JW cult. The isolation, emotional abuse, controlling and brain washing oh and prying on the vulnerable is abhorrent

Lisa

Best ep so far, just the fact you were actually able to have a constructive conversation with him instead of battling someone so entrenched in their ideas

Calw98

Any chance ye could do a recap at the end of the eps? Or a longer bit at the start. Would love to hear more on how ye thought about them all

Rebekah Dunne

I walk past the London church of Scientology every day on the way to uni. They advertise a ‘free exhibition’ so I went in a few weeks ago out of curiosity. I gave them none of my details, not even my name, and when I left they messaged me on twitter thanking me for coming - my handle doesn’t even have my name in it. Spooked me out a little

Daisy

Try get purple Aki on would be class

Ben Ibell

I'm loving these pods

Peter Longworth

Lads please shine a light on Jehovah's Witnesses. They are so vanilla and as a result they get away with an awful lot under the radar. People only know them as the slightly strange individuals who knock on your door on a Saturday morning. I know cause I was one. Still unpacking that shit now 10 years after leaving.

Richard Wainwright

All religions are a cult. Islam, Christianity, Scientology. Some are just more extreme than others.

Anulp Lees

This was really interesting. Great episode

Niki Rigby

Harry & Carl, you guys work so well together! Thanks for another great episode, loving this new type of content.

Laura Nish

My brain read: prostate alex

Dean Hopo

Crazy stuff. The last paragraph about separating ‘Belief from Behaviour’ is really telling. All the way through I’m thinking that he stil absolutely believes in the teachings of Scientology, not not the way that it’s taught.

Scott Campbell

What an intro.

Ben Gibbs

Great episode! I'd love you guys to speak to A former Mormon or Eli Yoder a former member of the old order Amish. I think that would be great.

Jay

As a salesperson I find all of this fascinating. When he said “you want to help people yes?” It’s a basic technique that McDonalds used to use to sell you larger meals than you wanted. You say yes and then you just continue to say yes. E.g. you want a warmer home? = yes. You want to have a lower bill? = yes. You should get our insulation. = yes.

David Tate

What was Carl's post that got taken down? Surely this is a safe place . . . 😂

Carl

Another class episode, well done lads

Kieran Godwin

Need To get Eddie Bravo get him to go full Tin Foil Hat

dead pool

Also Bronson if it's possible to get him on would be interesting

Mikey Sutton

Also the book of mormon stage show is fantastic and I recommend anyone to go see it lol

Mikey Sutton

Russell M. Nelson is the current president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints he's 100 year old so might have to get your skates on but his background is crazy too Background: Nelson was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. He attended the University of Utah, where he earned a bachelor's degree in biological sciences and a medical degree. He performed the first open heart surgery in Utah. He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during the Korean War. He was a professor at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He was the president of the Society for Vascular Surgery and the Utah Medical Association. He was the Sunday School General President of the LDS Church from 1971 to 1979. He was a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles from 1984 until he became president.

Mikey Sutton

He is so interesting and well spoken, I could listen to him all day. Smashed it again lads. I kind of want Scientology to have a file on me for some mad reason

Tom Williams

mad that

KieronBJ

Not if I get there first

Ben

Can you have a look at the cult nixim or what ever it’s called

Tom Twisleton

Madness! Each time I’ve learnt something from these, bloody brilliant again lads

Jenny Farnsworth

Honestly guys this was incredible so interesting, he comes across like a really nice guy and parts of this were actually really quite sad. What an amazing episode 😁 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Roolou

This is gonna be interesting, kinda odd of me ha but I’ve looked into Scientology and read a lot about them. This is gonna be boss 🤣 thanks lids

Robyn

Is Harry’s mic going quiet every few seconds or is it me?

David Storey

Great insight lads, good to hear the other side from someone who isn't a raving lunatic!

Wayne Colton

I mean it’s been out privately for 6 hours, so no, not yet 😂

Have A Word Pod

Nothing wrong with a bit of general maintenance for your cult 😅 Using sugar soap is correct for preparing walls for painting, paint stripper is for woodwork mainly, maybe Scientology isn’t too bad after all if they’re doing the job properly, touché Senor Hubbard

Niall Stockton

I thought about that when he said it. I think he diddnt mean it was "demeaning" as when you do it for a job. I think it was 'demeaning' to be forced to do it! I hope so anyway 👀

Roch96

So did youse get a letter 🤣👀

Roch96

The fact that Alex is from the UK and he isn’t one of these mental Americans makes this hit home abit more and feel more real, absolutely fascinating again lads loved it

Dylan

Nutters - they can suck a shite out of my arse too

Chris Richmond

Day off work got this to watch and the public episode what a day

Josh Brown

Monday mornings don’t seem as bad anymore 👏

Kimberley

I’m a decorator, am I being punished every day by Scientology? 🤷🏼‍♂️

Niall Stockton

Banger this one lads! Definitely best to date

kieron martin

Thought that said a prostrate Alex then 🤦

liam
