RELEASE: First alpha for you to play around with

https://verkniptegeest.itch.io/maih2

Password: AlphaMale

Info: I just uploaded the current build to test mobile functionality for myself, but why not let you all have a go at it if it's online anyway? So go have fun and play around with the very first alpha of MAiH2. I truly hope you're as excited about this game's future as I am after playing. This is just the framework, the very start of what is going to be an amazing journey.

Please comment what you think, I really want feedback and ideas :)

In game cheats:
Go to options menu, enable cheat link in sidebar, click cheats in sidebar, enter "cheater".

Love it so far. But it would be even better if the names for my character worked

thom ellison

After spending twenty weeks or so driving an Uber I gave up and used the cheat codes to get actual money. Bought the businesses and all the upgrades with the top managers and I'm still losing money hand over fist. All of the business managers tell me, "I'd say we could definitely use some work on making the business run better." What are they suggesting?

For a really early alplha this is really promising and great! keep up the great work! :)

will you release the offline version?

Think that has more to do with who tf is gonna believe you used it on her lol

Ahad Khan

Not sure what to use as an alternative. Would "Allow scenes" be clearer?

For what its worth my book editor made over a thousand notes on the first draft of my novel. I took about 80% of them, even if some of them required back and forth to ensure we were communicating. I triumphantly sent it back to her, excited to be done, and then she sent me nearly a thousand more notes. We had dealt with the top layer of soil. That was when we were able to deal with the second layer of sediment. We went through eight drafts and it ended up being the greatest thing I ever created. I wish I had hired an editor to help me a decade earlier. Doesn't mean there weren't moments I chafed at her criticism and protested. If I give you a lot of notes it isn't because I don't realize art is a long process, it's because I think you're worth investing in.

A switch thst toggles from on to off isn't confusing at all. It's the term "toggle scenes" I hadn't heard before. May just be my inexperience as a gamer. I think you just mean that the scenes can be added or taken away... The weekly vs. monthly thing actually makes perfect sense and I agree with you now that you explain it.

Charlie Jenkins

Ah, that means you got too good at acting I think. After reaching acting level 20, you're supposed to get better acting jobs and the extras disappear, but I hadn't gotten that far yet :)

Miss-Adventures in Hollywood

I plan on adding multiple storylines later. This is just the basic one where you arrive in LA with nothing, but I plan on adding a throwback MAiH1 storyline where you start with way more money, different girls and a streaming business already owned :) More jobs will be available too. For now, as I said before, it's an alpha I put together in less than a month time and content will grow significantly as soon as I have all basic functionality done. Then I'll be adding countless jobs, businesses, girls, stories, conversations, dates, clothes, houses, cars, jets and who knows what more :) This is just to show the framework all that will be running on, it's not by any means a full game or even half a game. There's only 12 girls now but there will be many many more, at the very least every one that was in HHHE + MAiH1 so no worries, I'm sure many of your favourites will come along.

Clothing line-up is obviously not a priority at this point :p Adding clothes takes a lot of time. This is an alpha, basically a tech demo. Weekly income doesn't yet count gigs, only businesses.

Miss-Adventures in Hollywood

Hmm, not sure what's confusing about toggle scenes. If it's green and says "on", it's on. Weekly costs are because I want weekly paydays so people don't have to play 30 days to get their money. If I remember correctly, I did the same with MAiH1. Months are too long for a videogame so all costs are weekly.

I'm loving it, but I also don't really know the starting celebs. I really liked in the original where the starting celebs could change to match your age.

Ben Williams

Kept playing and I now have a problem where it says there is an acting gig available but there isn't when I go to gigs.

Robert Wolf

After playing a bit, the status number is just an error. Also the movie extra gig had an error. I am looking forward to this being updated though and can't wait to see where this goes.

Aside from those largely technical things, I find the fantasy of this game extremely appealing and the mechanics creative. Even in this first alpha version I do get transported to that fictional universe and everything else kind of fades away until I log off, which is exactly the effect you want. It would get frustrating if you couldn't move from the Uber driver level to a more glamorous job somewhat quickly, since I loved running the movie studio and that is part of the fantasy. Personally, I didn't object to the first game being too easy, I just wanted it to be even more expansive, with more possibilities for how to use your power. But I'm here for the journey too. The nature of smaller celebrities is that they have more niche followings - so I can think of much smaller celebrities than these who I would covet tremendously, whereas I don't necessarily have a deep familiarity (and consequently interest) in some of the ones that are understandably your favorites. But anyone is going to have that experience: If you pleased me you'd still leave their favorites out.

Charlie Jenkins

Bella told me to buy some clothes for my date with a celebrity and all the clothing store sells are graphic tees and a truly awful Hawaiian print shirt. Halp! Where is a basic button up shirt when you need it? Oh God. Then she rejects you for not wearing nice enough clothes! *sweating* Being a movie extra begins with, "Error: <>: bad evaluation: cash is not defined" I worked all week and it told me that my weekly income was 0 and I had a complete net loss. That really is what it feels like to live in LA, but I think in this case it's a glitch. I still feel dissonance selling a BDSM candle you used on Dakota Johnson for $5. If you're selling it as a totem of sexual conquest that's way too low. If you're just selling it as a pre-melted candle I'm not sure that's a viable idea.

Charlie Jenkins

It says all extreme options begin turned off by default, but when you go to the options menu watersports and beastiality are already on. Although the language is kind of confusing - "toggle scenes." Is there a less programmer-y way to put that? For some reason Bella Poarch is calling me $sexname. Glitched when you said the apartment was $600 and the house was $2,000 because I've never heard of a weekly lease before. I was like $600 a month? In what decade?! Under cell phone, the Open Tiktok button doesn't show up. You may want to look at your punctuation - in particular your use of commas and your order of operations. Commas go inside of quotation marks. If you already have an exclamation point inside of quotes you don't need a period afterward.

Charlie Jenkins

Thanks, the bugs in the first date have been found. I'll upload a small update soon. Until then, you'll have to work around it by picking the options that work :)
