About MAiH2

It's time for some honesty once again. I'll just get straight to it. I was not having any fun anymore making HHHE. Coding and writing for it felt like a struggle and a job and I fucking hated it. When I thought up the idea I was in a completely different mood and state of mind and I was excited to work on something dark and serious. But it's not nearly as fun as making MAiH was. Coding game mechanics like combat is pretty horrible in Twine and it is endlessly easier to find myself in the mood to write a fun Hollywood fantasy piece than it is to write a dark themed post-apocalyptic piece. Also, it's fucking hard finding the right source pics to match stories.

Bottom line: I'm not enjoying making HHHE anymore and this is still a hobby. Last week I decided it's time to start making MAiH2. Or a reboot. Or whatever it'll be called. So I did. If this is good or bad news depends on your opinion of my games, I suppose. 

Let's just handle some Q&A style things you are probably wondering.

Does this mean HHHE is dead forever?
Not necessarily. I like HHHE and I might very well be in the mood to work on it sometime, but for now it will be demoted to a side project. I am also very willing to make it open source if anyone wants to pick it up.

You never finish your shit, man
I know, it's been a problem my whole life. I do feel bad for doing this again but I do feel like many people were just tolerating HHHE. Basically everyone came here for MAiH and HHHE was just my passion project that people had to sit through. When it started to feel the same to me, I figured it was time to put it on hold. 

What will be different this time around? Will MAiH2 ever be finished?
No, it won't. I learned a lot about coding through HHHE and I plan to make MAiH an infinitely expandable project. I will be coding the game in a dynamic way where it's easy to add new girls, businesses, items, stories etc. This will mean that as long as the main features are working, it is both always and never finished. 

What can we expect from MAiH2?
A lot! But I don't want to build big expectations without results, so I think I'm gonna keep the details a surprise until I can actually show them. I do want to share the basic premise. This time around, you're not put into a predestined career. You are arriving in LA by plane and your character is a blank sheet. You can still become a streaming empire CEO, or you can keep it simple and just run a small business or even just drive uber while fucking your way around Hollywood. You can make income your own way. It'll be way more of a sandbox where you can pick your own way of playing. Also, I learned what people want from MAiH1 and I will make sure things like marrying, harems, pregnancy, property etc are way more fleshed out and rebuilt from the ground up.

I gave you shitloads of money man, where are my girls?
All the girls that are in HHHE will be in MAiH2. This means all $50 patrons and all voted girls from the HHHE development time will be in MAiH2.

I'm mad
I know I'm very shifty and inconsistent and I do feel bad about that. Thing is, this is still a hobby to me. As much as I fucking love every one of you for giving me money, I still can't live off this and I spend my free time on making this stuff. I want to enjoy doing that, and I was not enjoying HHHE anymore. Shit happens. I always enjoyed making MAiH whenever I was working on it because it's just so mindlessly fun. I want to have fun again, even if it makes some people mad. 

So, when can we play it?
Not sure. I started a new career recently and it's taking up time. I can't give a timeframe but I plan to release a demo of it's main features quite shortly just to show you all what I have in mind. I think you're gonna fucking love it, but I could be wrong :) 

Can I help?
Well, maybe you can! I'm not looking for writing help (yet) but I am looking for someone who is knowledgeable about high-end fashion. If that sounds like you, send me a message. Any other feature suggestions (not girl suggestions) you'd want in MAiH2 can be thrown in the comments and I'll pile them all up in a big pile and look through them and see which ones are good/achievable.
