January planning + New girl reveal

Alright, a quick planning post as usual at the start of the month. December started slow but I'm really picking up steam now and things are going quick. I just put out the third update already and I'm loving this way of doing things. I can put out updates quickly and get feedback quickly. So that's what I intend to continue doing in january.
Things that will hopefully get done:
- More quests and thus more girls to meet without cheats
- Beginning of writing for the sex mechanics
- Improve and add variety to the conversation mechanics
- Add more combat variety through perks and items, more randomized writing and sound effects
- Add some more enemy variety than just raiders
- Add more random throughout the game, not just to the morning
- Finish coding the stables (which will not just be for beast content)
- Start work on the armory and customizable firearms
- Increase gun stats (implement more stats than just damage)
- Add more (craftable) items
- Add more locations and more options at existing locations
I think that's quite a long list already. These aren't promises, they're targets, but I think I can knock most of these off the list this month. Releasing the game has given my insane motivation because it's actually fun to add things now that I'm not the only one enjoying them.
New girl!
As for the new girl reveal... Someone paid $50 once again and paid for the lovely... Samara Weaving! A great choice if you ask me. There's two more $50 patrons that will very likely be picking their girls too, and of course january voting will follow very soon, so Samara won't be the last addition this month..

I love those pics you sent as well. Gonna be hard just picking one storyline for her! Maybe someday she'll have multiple. Dude, I want Mackenzie in so bad. I have some plans for her, and they're definitely horse-related ;)

2022-01-03 07:06:48 +0000 UTCThat's crazy, I was strongly considering upgrading and paying for Samara myself in the near future but I guess I can save it for someone else now. This is an especially good addition given she often plays badass action roles which could carry over smoothly into the game (she's very handy with a nail gun and hammer in Mayhem for instance https://imgur.com/a/irUxpT4). Maybe after you're attacked by raiders she finds and takes you back to her own base to recover from which you can recruit her to yours (https://imgur.com/a/qTQnSJO). Or perhaps her Aussie friend Margot Robbie accompanies you on a quest to track down her missing countryman out in the wasteland. Lots of possibilities but it's your game so I'll leave such decisions up to you. Excellent work with the pre-alpha so far, best of luck with the full release. And if Mackenzie Foy doesn't get voted in I'll be sure to upgrade so that she's included (...once the stables are built, someone's gotta look after the horses 😂).
