Video - New effect - work in progress

today we wanted to share with you a new effect we spent a few full days working on.
We converted it into a video clip which you can find attached.
We plan to use this as a cumshot effect. We wanted to create something that is as realistic as possible. So we looked into the actual physics of water as a base concept for how liquid actually behaves in regards to pressure, air resistance and gravity.
It took us a long time to create this effect, which lasts only a couple moments, because we went old school on it. Since we were not happy with the results produced by various animation tools we tried using, we did it frame by frame.
We started with something like 80 frames and then condensed it down to around 50. Each frame is a detailed state of the liquid, all meticulously sequenced so that every particle and every wave is taken into consideration and sees its continuation, under the above mentioned laws of physics, in the following frame.
This structure creates a seamless and detailed flow that you can check out in the attached mp4.
We are quite happy with the final result as we think that it is the most realistic one we have ever created.
