Update - Progress
Added 2017-05-21 08:23:39 +0000 UTCDear Patrons,
we hope you are all doing well.
So... we have been quite busy working on the new update, and other things. Unfortunately, it wasn't a smooth process as last month as we had a lot of bugs and glitches we had to face, but the update is coming along and as always we will be releasing it before the month's end.
Now regarding the "other things"... as we communicated some time ago, we have been working on something quite big and we said that we estimated a release date for this around August/September, well we feel now that it is time to share more about that.
We have been dedicating a lot of resources (both budget and time) to redoing the whole game so far, + all the neat things we have been talking about across the months (database, save/load function, advanced audio options across the whole game, modifiable stats like strength etc that will influence character performance and much more), in Unity.
Now we love Flash, but we think that Flash can take us just so far in a project like ours and we decided to do the switch now before we get too far with the game. The advantages of switching system will be enormous as Unity is designed to make games and Flash is designed to make animations. We expect to, once the new system is in place, be able to release new missions, areas, enemies, etc etc... a lot faster than ever before.
The 3 new people we hired not long ago, have been working quite diligently on this specific aspect of the project. Now the good news is that, if we can keep this pace up and there are no major issues to overcome, we might be able to release all this already in July. Now this is not an official release date so please don't hold us to it, as always quality standard must come first.
So yeah, that is the big news, I hope that you are as excited as we are about it and we truly wish to thank you all for your support as without it, we would have never had the resources to do something as massive as this.
A great day to ya all!
Cheers ;)

Hi Axem, we totally agree and we believe that it is the only viable option at this point in order to take the project to the next production stage as we are already pushing flash to it's limits. Cheers ;)

2017-05-23 06:55:46 +0000 UTCHi IcyO, no nothing classified so far ^^... what we classify are things like: way too early to discuss or avoid spoilers etc Anyway, we haven;t discussed that possibility, but we don;t think so. The game will still be released freely to all, with extra stuff for our Patrons. Even if we at one point decide to release the game on steam or something like that, our Patrons would get a free copy, as we believe it would only be fair given the fact that it was mainly our Patrons that financed the production of the game in the first place.

2017-05-23 06:51:51 +0000 UTCAre you going to go through Steam or something like that when (or if) you release the game using Unity? Or is that information classified...

2017-05-22 06:08:35 +0000 UTCJust like hearing about progress. Keep it up.
2017-05-21 18:14:04 +0000 UTCThere will be some cons but nothing in comparison to the overwhelming amount of pros. The game could not reach our ideal objective without this switch. Flash simply can't manage all the interconnections and game-wide functions that are required.
