Oh man, I’ve so missed that laugh! I think the reason these sketches are so funny (especially to us Brits) is because these caricatures are what these 1950’s posh upper class BBC presenters were like back in the day, where everything was serious and formal. To Americans (and other nationalities) this is probably what they think most Brits are like, even today!
