2024-09-20 18:57:33 +0000 UTCTV itself changed during those years it was off air. It returned in HD which was a first, so naturally looks polished and the makeup may be more visible. None of which take away from the script or the story, mind you.

2024-09-20 18:23:22 +0000 UTCSadly, the show wasn’t quite the same when the budget for each episode increased they over polished it and that detracted from the original authenticity of the show. The jokes also became a bit forced.

2024-09-20 08:05:47 +0000 UTCA decent enough episode but bound by a plot with rather predictable outcomes - bath collapse/money-fixated brother; there’s less scope for character fun and games than usual. Indeed the thread about two brothers forever divided by money is nothing to laugh about at all - dark and depressing; more of a moral tale than a cosy caricature of an aging community.

2024-09-18 19:11:24 +0000 UTCIt looks different because of new sets after season 7 came out 9 YEARS after season 6 mate. 1-6 was 2002-2007 and 6 was the end...but they decided to bring it back in 2016 for 3 more seasons. Hence the different look. Different directors etc... (and widescreen where it probably wasn't before)
