Content
Added 2024-08-28 15:29:22 +0000 UTCI've had an up and down past few days with the dizziness and being light headed. I'm trying to get some thing edited for y'all (original Mad Max movie, like 6 or 7 chainsaw man reactions) as well as for the channel. My goal for the rest of this week is to finish editing what I have and want to put on the channel such as the movie Ghost in the Shell, the rest of the Band of Brothers, all the Chainsaw Man and Solo Leveling content I currently have, and start recording for yall in here and start the road map I have content wise for the channel since I'll have a few weeks worth of content with just the anime and Band of Brothers along with the 2 movies.
I do have a road map for the channel of what I want to put out going forward. I've got to edit what I have Inbetweeners wise so that it can get up on Youtube. I want to put it all up on there along with the movies for that series. After I finish that series I'm going to start going through It Ain't Half Hot Mum again for the Channel.
Movies wise for the next month on the channel I'll be going through the Mad Max saga, Bone Tomahawk, and Battle of Britain. For Patreon I'm going to add Lawrence of Arabia and at least one of the Carry On movies ( I have 2 different collections of those movies).
For Youtube once, I have Band of Brothers fully scheduled out I'm going to start recording for Breaking Bad. I want to have a season of that not only recorded and up in here before the first episode releases to youtube but I want to ensure ya'll have a good month or so head start and we are into the 2nd season for it.
On the anime side of things, Solo Leveling and Chainsaw Man are both at the moment, at 1 season a piece. I will be recording more of Dragonball but I want to ensure that I have all of Solo Leveling up before I put more of that on youtube. So y'all will have quite the head start on that as well. Dragonball will take the place of Solo Leveling once it's fully up. For Chainsaw Man, once it's finished I'm going to record a review of the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen for y'all since I've seen the first season but I did that while it was still going and that was back in 2020. I'm also going to record a reaction the movie for it and look at season 2. I have a plan for after I'm finished with Jujutsu Kaisen to start alternating episodes on Youtube of reactions to One Piece and Full Metal Alchemist but that's further down the line at this point. In addition to a review of Jujutsu Kaisen season 1 I will be doing a review/ introduction to the anime Eden of the East series and movies. These will be exclusive to y'all. It is to this day one of the best pieces of entertainment regardless of medium.
Yes, I know I'm introducing and planning to do a lot of anime reactions but, I really enjoy it and making it a priority since I missed the whole anime wave till my late 20s, apologies lmao.
Outside of all of that, having a little over a month of content that I just have to get edited out, even with what I have planned, in the next 2 weeks I want to finish Porridge and League of Gentlemen. I've dragged every series out for far too long. I think I should've road mapped things a long time ago instead of doing everything by the seat of my pants. That works until it doesn't anymore. This gives me structure, like an actual 9-5 with clear goals. After League of Gentlemen and Porridge, I'll put up a poll. I have instant access whether through on hand collections or brit box subscription to a wide range of shows to look at. It will take us some time still to get through Doctor Who (modern and I think then we're going to go back through the classic) and Only Fools and Horses but replacing 2 of the current shows once their finished with 2 separate shows I'm interested to see what direction folks want to go.
I will have a poll up in the next day or two for folks that have joined because of the movies and shows outside of the UK content I started with to add another show that will exclusively be due to their joining.
I'll also be doing a poll on the pricing. I've wanted to do simply the 2 dollar tier but... Even when I make pronouncements to move down, too many either stay at the 4 dollar level and I don't want to just end it and they come back and have to repay to rejoin. That said IF a solution is found for perks via a poll, the music (which I don't do enough) and the anime will still have their separate pricing since the people that join those tiers don't have access to any content not meant for those tiers. Maybe the 4 dollar will include the latter 2 and the 2 dollar loses access, not sure yet but, I want to make sure if you join, you feel via the early access and the exclusive content you are getting your moneys worth.
Finally, I do appreciate everyone's support. I don't think I've ever come up with a comprehensive content plan since I stopped reviewing EV announcements with a look at their specs and the building the vehicle out on the respective websites to see price points and spec changes. Between editing The Inbetweeners for youtube (even in a way that most will hate on youtube lol), the rest of the Band of Brothers as well as the movies and anime shows, I'll have the time to get other stuff accomplished, whether it be around my house or content. I've gone so long of just recording the shows, editing for Patreon and then recording other stuff for youtube and putting off editing the larger stuff for youtube that I probably should've gone this route a long time ago.
I KNOW.... For those that follow me on youtube, youtube content wise, this is definitely going to be a transition period. However I think I've done no fewer than 10 I'm going to change content videos on youtube in the last 2 years just due to how unsatisfied I was with doing what felt like the same thing on repeat and felt like none of the content really fit what I wanted to do anymore as a content creator. I know there are a ton of movie/ anime/ tv show channels on youtube. However it's either anime only or they do trailers, movie and tv show only. I want to be a one stop shop for the content since anime is on tv and streaming networks now. I love learning about new cultures, and history but after 5 years, I'm past the point of wanting to look at stuff that I feel do to my upbringing and life experiences, I missed out on.
My experience of creating content has been such a wild ride and I've made numerous mistakes while doing it. My first channel went from 300 subscribers to over 2k in a weeks time frame, and I shifted gears so completely that I had to start what is now The Eclectic Beard just to continue doing reactions. The Eclectic Beard channel went from 1300 subs to 10k subs within a month and then grew to 30k and then to 70k all within a 4 month time span. The exponential growth that happened at the height of the pandemic, you don't know how to scale when growth like that happens and I know I tried doing way to many things all at once that should've been planned out like I'm trying to do now. As I'm trying to do a bit of course correction, I'll start being in my different discord servers way more often. That's an aspect of doing this that I truly miss and regret that I stepped back from due to the feeling of being completely and utterly overwhelmed. Live actionable interaction with my community.
While the circumstances for me having to return to this full time aren't ideal, this go around I promise not only on here to be more present but to ensure that what you've signed up for when you decided to pay monthly for content, that I try to over deliver.

I have like 5 or 6 more episodes of Chainsaw Man that I have to still edit and upload, and 2 or 3 more episodes of Dragon Ball to get edited and uploaded to here as well. I've got all of Solo Leveling done and uploaded. I plan on having it all uploaded by the end of the weekend. I need to go back and make sure I label the movies and the stuff I have anime wise so that it pops up when searched. I need to finish the Viking anime and Lacoris Recoil as well. So I have it, just either finishing or now, editing and uploading is the goal.

2024-08-30 04:31:58 +0000 UTCThanks for a lengthy piece on your plans going forward. I am sure I echo many when I say please put your health & wellbeing first. I've seen so many great content creators suffer burn out due to the pressures of trying to keep up with what they percieve to be their audiences demands. I followed you since lockdown & your infectious laughter to stuff I'd seen and remembered from decades past over here in the UK really helped keep me going. You feel almost like a friend to me & I'm sure many others. Certainly you're someone after my own heart! It wouldn't matter to me if you took a little time out & scaled back a bit, I'll still be here. Still, if you feel ready, I'm here for it. You talk a lot about Anime and I haven't seen a great deal of it. I do have something on DVD called Laputa - Islands in the Sky which seems very similar to The Iron Giant & I was absolutely captivated by it when it randomnly came on TV many years back. Also, when I was young, between around 1978 - 1982 and repeated throughout the 80's was a cartoon series shown both sides of the pond called Battle of the Planets which I used to love. It was a lot later on that I discovered it was a heavily edited version of an earlier Japanese cartoon called Gatchaman. To make up for how much was cut, they inserted this whole piece involving a robot and his robot dog. It didn't truly fit the cartoon & was clearly a different animation. Having now seen the whole of Gatchaman, it's little surprise they edited it so heavily because parents both sides of the pond would have had an absolute nuclear meltdown if what was originally shown in Japan was shown to kids over here. This included the characters swearing at each other, violence and grotesque scenes that were just off the scale insane! Interesting fact that it was actually the inspiration for Power rangers. I mention it as it's considered the first ever example of Anime.

2024-08-29 20:18:05 +0000 UTCI will say this, as far as content for the channel goes, I feel I've got to make a change. Just my overall feeling the last year or so reacting to or finding stuff to react to and seeing what everyone else is reacting to, it's been hard to be motivated because everyone is reacting to the same comedians, same game show bits, same European cultures, etc. It just became a bore because as a reactor you want to try to find that thing that is different than everyone else so even when you do cover the same ground, you have enough difference that folks will seek you out. Everyone's covering differences in houses, look at all these European countries, oh, here's Would I Lie to You, or Task Master, or fill in the blank and it kind of narrowed down almost eliminated what you could look at to still stand out, to still be fresh and not just recycle the same content everyone else is looking at. So you either have to dig deep to find niche comedians and clips to look at which are hit and miss personally or hit and miss view wise. You never want to chase views but that's what keeps the channel healthy. And it got to be just unfun and demoralizing tbh.

2024-08-29 15:42:21 +0000 UTCI dunno the legalities of what I’m going suggest and your welcome to say your dumb but. I found your channel because your enduring and your laughter captivating. And when you re watch stuff with you at times it’s like your their with us on the coach. Have you thought of some how live streaming the reactions again I dunno how possible this is with copyright bullcrap but live-streaming it and maybe editing that down. I just feel maybe that would take the weight of I have a YouTube channel with some gaming videos no where near as successful. And the schedule to record and edit to create a video was rough for me when you have the following you have the pressure to give people something I can only imagine. Other than that maybe a schedule that suits you, videos that suite you. You know your audience, some will always moan cause you’re not giving them what they want and others are here for different stuff. I support you on Patreon simply cause if we went to the same pub/bar I’d buy you a pint and maybe a jager or sambuca for the shits and giggles. Respect Man.

2024-08-29 04:41:02 +0000 UTCWell, taking the rest of this week and the weekend to get the editing for youtube caught up and scheduled out will give me a month of leeway to record, edit, and post here and to youtube. The easy part is the editing and posting here. Y'all bout to get slammed with exclusives and early access stuff though.

2024-08-28 18:45:03 +0000 UTCIf you HAVE to do some content, but don’t be doing too much. Just thinking about all the stuff you’re wanting to get done is making my head spin , so can’t imagine how bad yours is😕 Please look after your health first.. I’m sure fellow Patreons would probably be more than happy without bonus content on here, if it means you can have a wee bit extra time to rest and you feeling better again💕x
