2024-07-07 20:37:23 +0000 UTCFirstly thank you for these 2 reactions and I hope you had a good July the 4th, ours went well thanks to the election results finally getting rid of the rabble that have done so much damage to this country, this series was first aired I think in 2007 a year before the banking crisis from which this country along with Brexit and Covid amongst other things has never recovered but has got worse, e.g. we now have more food banks than branches of MacDonald's. The scenes of Hooverville remind of scenes I have watched from across the States in various cities. I cannot help smiling wryly in this story when after fighting over a loaf of bread when defending Hooverville nearly everyone still had a gun, now that's what I call commitment to the 2nd amendment or whatever number it is.

2024-07-05 01:21:42 +0000 UTCI love that you are returning to Doctor Who. I hope you carry on right up until the end of Matt Smiths exit. After that it really went off the boil. Tennant got the best plots and his acting talent is extraordinary. He perfectly encapsulated the tragedy and rage of the Doctor. The desire to belong and the inevitable fate of being alone. At times the writing for Tennant was genuinely Shakespearean.
