I love the idea of this episode, but I always struggle with the cat man that sounds like Dougal from Father Ted. I keep expecting him to say something stupid.

I just felt turning the humans into pigs bit (and stupid looking pigs too) was a bit ridiculous. RTD should have had a call back to the Robomen you saw in season 2 of Classic Who, and used them instead.

2024-07-01 19:36:43 +0000 UTCThe villains of this story, the Macra, were a foe that the 2nd Doctor (Patrick Troughton) fought back in the mid 1960s. They weren’t as well conceived as they are here (CGI can do wonders), and I didn’t think that story was that good, but here they are utilised better and IMO this was another great episode of this season, following on from ‘Smith and Jones’ and ‘The Shakespeare Code.’ The next story for me was a bit of a pig to get through, but it has a couple of well known guest stars in it, one in particular who would go on to star in a couple of Marvel films. Wonder if Alan will spot him?
