Ahhh, love this two parter, New Who’s first “base under siege” story. Love how it tackles the themes of the Devil, how this is likely the original manifestation of the idea that would result in cultures and civilisations throughout time and space having their own interpretations of the Devil. Brilliant sci-fi…horror really, this one’s fun but pretty spooky.

As I started watching Dr Who in the nineteen seventies, I remember it was famed for being a 'behind the sofa' kids TV programme, meaning you could watch it with hands over eyes from the safety of hiding behind large pieces of furniture. The Daemons from the third Dr's time has a similar theme, and was often voted one of the best story arc's of classic Who.

2023-09-21 13:29:09 +0000 UTCThis storyline really scared me and I was about 30 when it came out🤣 One of the things I love about Eccleston and Tennant's Doctor Who is how it can go from light and funny to deep, dark and philosophical within a matter of minutes without it ever feeling forced.

2023-09-21 09:50:29 +0000 UTCQuite a storyline I think you agree the next 2 episodes although enjoyable are maybe the weakest stories from series 2 in my opinion before the 2 part season finale, as far as the Ood are concerned there is a 2 part episode in a future season which covers their history, still hoping that you can find time to review School Reunion which you sadly lost to your PC problems another great reaction , thank you.
