Added 2023-09-12 00:24:53 +0000 UTCDoing research for a video later this week on why more Americans don't travel abroad. Thinking I'm going to keep it to a top 5 reasons why most don't. Surprisingly according to the Pew Research Center, 81% of Americans have traveled abroad by their 50's. According to most recent data I could find from the State Department just under 50% of US citizens have valid passports. 151,814,305 as of 2022 up from 145,028,408 in 2021. However, the lack of having a passport is one of the top reasons why more don't travel. Fun Fact #5 from the upcoming video.
