Doctor Who Convergence Incoming

Later today you'll get reactions to episodes 5-8 of Classic Doctor Who and episodes 4 and 5 of the New Doctor Who. It seems there's a convergence since episodes 5-11 are based around the Daleks and the final episode of New Doctor Who is titled Dalek, well....... Y'all will see 5-11 and 4-6 this week because, well I'm hooked for one and 2, as far as the show is concerned on the channel, later this week I'll be putting out the Dalek storyline and next week the last 3 episodes of Eccleston's run. Which, by the way, why did he only get one season? Kind of gutted (and partially why I want to just get through with it instead of dragging it out) he's only the Doctor for one season since he's gleeful attitude towards trouble is endearing lol.

It was a shame that he did not do another series but his performances ensured the successful return of the series, good news is Russell T Davies is returning as a writer in the next series, he was one of the lead writers on the first 4 seasons of the rebooted series

Quoting Wikipedia here: In March 2005 the BBC confirmed Eccleston wouldn’t be staying for a second series in the role, claiming he feared being typecast. The BBC later admitted this was a statement made without Eccleston’s consent. Speaking to a newspaper in 2010 he later clarified why he left because essentially, he wasn’t keen on “the environment and the culture that we, the cast and crew, had to work in.” He thought if he stayed he’d have to “blind myself to certain things I thought were wrong”, that it’s more important to be your own man and not moulded by the TV machine I guess. He is very proud though of having played the part, and since he left the television side of Doctor Who, he’s been voicing the Ninth Doctor in Big Finish audio dramas. He also regularly attends conventions and such, and is very thankful for all the love and support he gets from the fan community, for the role he played in their lives. For bringing the show back into a modern British phenomenon event of the week. For being that superbly well written and well acted PTSD Time Lord recovering from the blows and wrath of the Time War they keep bringing up. For being…fantastic.
