Remember sasori even asked him if he was sure he had enough clay since his opponent is a jinchuriki.

When I first watched this show about 100 episodes had already been released, I remember stubbornly not wanting to watch sub (I watched full Naruto in dub)...decided I'd try a few episodes and see how it was in sub. Distinctly remember watching this fight and being like...yeah I need to binge the rest of this immediately haha, no looking back. Very interesting fight and to be honest the analysis at the end of the video and in the comments as well....who wins in what scenario.

One-on-one with Gaara, without him worrying about the safety of the villagers and using all his chakra to protect them, I think he would’ve won easily.

That's a cheap shot from Blondie, but he did what he had to do; same as Gaara. Underhanded tactics to defeat a stronger opponent is a Ninja's lifeblood. Gaara's character development has to be the best in the whole show imo.
