they are not calls but recordings. so stuff was recorded from the kingdom and they brought it with them when they crossed to the republic and there was a scene where the uncle (villain) gave it to the pregnant women remember. then the pregnant women was listening to the recording on the phone which was a news report about prime minister Ko from the kingdom. if the women goes over to the kingdom, she needs to know about her counter part's life. so, people who are in the republic that the uncle has approached have that phone where they can't call but only the uncle can call and send stuff...this is all they have shown it now

A lot was revealed in this episode. Did you guys connect the 2G phone thing, they very openly shoed it in this episode. Remember, the main lead found a 2G phone which had the news recording from the kingdom, when she was research the first murder case.
