2021-05-29 12:42:57 +0000 UTCThe law ammendment allowed members of Kpop bands to defer (wait) an additional 2 years to enlist if they were recognized (or awarded) by South Korea's Cultural Ministry. Since enlistment is from 18-28 this allows bands like BTS who have received such awards to extend the date they MUST enlist by to when they are 30. There are multiple rumours circulating as to if they will all enroll together in 2022 when Jin has to enroll since they are all within rage to enroll (18-30 for those in their group) or if they'll stagger enrollment to continue to interact with and put out music for fans.
