Nightly Visit

That's ridiculous you'd think, but it is possible on a totalitarian world in the KYTHERA universe. Although the central government (the Dominion) is somewhat benevolent in its approach to its subjects, there can always be places where the scepter of power is wielded by corrupt officials.
The usual visits by the SFDF happen by night and take the offender by force to a central location where they are made to pay their debts. If they can't (or aren't willing) to pay with financial means, the offender can also be put into special personal service for the SFDF for a set time. This can last for a week, up to a few months and is physically exhausting, much to the pleasure of the SFDF.
