We're seahorses! Spatula Madness audio

This one takes a bit of explaining! Back in 2005 I began work on a feature length animation called "Spatula Madness." The project never fully came together and I abandoned it around 2008 or 2009.

This audio is from "Scene 21," where Edward, the main character, is floating on a raft in the middle of the ocean. Two seahorses, one blue and one pink, pop up out of the water and attempt to sink his raft by throwing heavy rocks onto it. Eventually the seahorses vanish when Max, a minor antagonist in the movie, arrives in a submarine shaped and painted like a giant apricot.

The scene isn’t particularly good, but it is notable for the blue and pink seahorses essentially being the same characters as the blue and pink unicorns from Charlie the Unicorn. That cartoon hadn’t taken off yet, and I liked the characters and wanted to do more with them, so I essentially just… wrote them again in a different cartoon. It doesn't really work! Many scenes in the Spatula Madness feature didn't really work. But attempting to make that movie definitely gave me the experience needed to make cartoons that did work!
