2025-03-24 20:17:07 +0000 UTCDespite your worries of rambling, I find all that you've said to be incredibly poignant and important. Ultimately grief is not about the person or the event, not really. It's about you. That space that they filled in your life, sapped away. To choose to live in that space yourself, to put up scaffolding so that the walls don't fracture, is both brave and necessary. Sometimes I find myself returning to the little excerpt in the about section of your Skeletons EP release, and how you mentioned feeling so vulnerable there, too. A long-form poem about death and loss, in an album. I know you don't know me, but to face loss and take in the ugly is the only way I've found to truly grieve. So whatever comes, I'm proud of you for holding tight to the ship's mast despite the boat's bitter attempts to knock you free.
