And boards with a big photo on it (ryan lay horses) Although more tasteful about the same amount of creativity. Obv jacuzzi has a lot more that is gross its a funny overlap when listening to your critique.

They traced out a long rectangle on the sidewalk with masking tape and pretended it was a Manny pad: everyone would Ali into some manual variation. Locals too, and they would get a prize for making their tric k. Big thanks to the Jacuzzi riders who participated and kinda lame to those who piled out. Maybe they were hurt in a non-hangover way

I think there’s a lot of space for comparison between the two brands in terms of the two different flavours of minimalism from the two most beloved members of the golden age of Enjoi. Even what you were saying in the review about Dilo sounds very like Ryan Lay. You also have to remember there’s a lot of skateboarders out there who probably think the Sci Fi aesthetic is “gay” but that Jacuzzi’s homoerotic beer crushing is “epic”.

Sci fi is a more conceptually concrete thing than jacuzzi imo. Maybe you’re right and they’ll be around for a while but I don’t have a lot of faith in a company who’s branding gives me a migraine

That in combination with the color choice it comes of as just amature graphic design and not in an endearing way. Sci-fi puts it to better use imo. but I'm def with you there that the offset poster design decks will sell, people eat that shit up even if it's played out at this point. And Louie seems like he'd be able to manage a brand fairly well

I think you're maybe looking at Jacuzzi through the same lens as King skateboards or any other bullshit brand started by a skater breaking off on their own to give it a go. I think between Louie and the other guys who've started this "Sidewalk Distribution" company with the other guys involved in that there's enough old heads who've been in the industry long enough to know what they're doing enough to keep things going longer than you seem to think they will. You might not like the graphic design style, and I'm not the biggest fan either, but it definitely looks like plenty of other modern minimal, off center poster design work with clashing colours out there that people are paying big money for. Also the entire end of the video where you talk about the hoodies and graphics sounds like a review of Sci Fi, they literally use the same font. I'm sure if Louie can get some of his gear in an episode of Euphoria he should be able to stay afloat a little while longer. I also think you're underestimating how much people want to jack it to nostalgia porn. Everything is just recycled IPs, reboots and rehashes and the world at large keeps lapping it up. I bet those Es Muskas are gonna sell out in minutes and will be going for insane prices on StockX in a couple months. Please excuse the mucho texto.
