Callisto 0.50 - Week 11 Update

Finished off the Kara backstory on the weekend (still have to render out) and worked on the lewd animations through the course of the week. Last night I managed to finish off the posing of the last of the lewd animations required for v0.50 and even some that won't make an appearance until v0.60. To ensure that I don't loose track of exactly where I am, I did a little summary last night that I will update on a weekly basis.

You may notice that not all of the lewd positions indicated in the post a couple of weeks ago are included in the above. The intention is to add a couple more positions with each update. You will also note above that there are a total of 13,240 frames to be rendered to complete all of the animations posed. At roughly 7 minutes per frame this is almost 10 weeks of continuous rendering. However this process started almost 4 weeks ago, and I will not necessarily render all of these prior to the release of v0.50.

Completing the posing of these renders is actually quite a relief to the development process, as the exercise is a matter of fine attention to detail, rather than creative input. Thankfully I can now focus the majority of my time on story line content, from here until the release of v0.50. I did this render this morning that will relate to the continuation of the events on Dione. Just what is happening on the planet?

Over the next couple of weeks I will also endeavour to do a couple of the pole dancing routine sections. This will give me a good perspective of how long these take and just how polished the content will be. I believe my animations skills are improving and I also have a better appreciation of what is achievable. Thus the dance animations should not only be improved, but also completed in a fraction of the time of the previous animations.

The attempts at the new dance animations should clarify exactly how much work is in front of me prior to the release of the next beta. With this clarification I will post the to-do list / schedule of items to be resolved prior to the release of the beta. As with the previous version, I will undertake all of the renders for the side story in the time between the beta and the final release of v0.50.
