Callisto 0.50 - Week 4 Update

Have been spending the week completing the strip club environment backgrounds. This covers tweaking the strip club location and creating and populating with customers. I have created 9 different location backgrounds, on top of which the pole dancers are inserted within game. The background used will be somewhat randomised, however will also be dependent upon how successful the club is at any given time. The performers available will depend upon which ones you have hired at that point in time. You will have control over which stage on which they perform, or alternatively I will give you a randomise option. To give you an idea of what it will look like, please see below.

As part of this process I have created the backgrounds for the dancing animations for each stage (3 off) and each environment (9 off). I have tailored the cameras such that I can use a single transparent animation (per performer / per outfit) over all of the 27 alternative backgrounds. To round out this portion of the game, I still need to complete the animation and rendering of the dance routines and also design and code the interface for controlling the strip club management.

Next week I am going to undertake some of the scene writing for the next release. This will cover the main story events (minimal this version), the side mission, Kara backstory, the news and adult channel broadcasts. Doing this early on in the process helps crystallise the work remaining to be completed and also a chance to review and revise prior at a later juncture. In amongst this work, I will continue on the dancing and lewd animations. The dance animation work over the previous 2 weeks has given me a more critical eye over which source material will work best for the remaining animation sequences. Hopefully this means that the animation time per segment will be significantly reduced.
