Announcement + Future Release Schedule

So Part Two is finally done with. That was a rough ride huh?

I mentioned this in the afterword, but I wasn't very happy with Part Two for a variety of reasons.

But well, instead of getting all hung up on it. I decided to just move on.

Part Three will be better, that I can promise you. Which brings us to my announcement.

Changes to the Patreon.

If you read the tier descriptions then you all would know that the number of advanced releases was only supposed to be at 10 chapters.

But welp, that number has since burgeoned and I think it's time for a reset. So here's how things are going to be in the future...

$10 tier - Instead of exclusive content and sneak peaks that I've been so inconsistently providing. Coffee tier members will now get 15 chapters in advance for your donations.

Originally, this was just a good will tier that didn't provide any additional benefits. The promise of sneak peaks and exclusive side stories was just my clumsy way of expressing gratitude.

Ultimately, my fulfilment of that promise was lacklustre and my execution half baked. And I feel bad about that. So this change will allow me to provide more consistency to your generosity.

$5 tier - Unchanged. As usual, you guys will continue to receive 10 advanced chapters like how it was in the beginning. Just bear in mind that I may pause releases if I'm being bottlenecked at the higher tier. Which shouldn't happen if I'm smart about it.

$2 - There will be an addition of a $2 tier that will provide only 5 advanced chapters.

Also, I'll try to implement an annual subscription option which will provide a discount. I'm not sure what percentage discount I can set since I have yet to experiment with it. So I'll provide more details when the time comes.

All of these changes will take effect when I release the first chapter of Part Three. Which brings me to the next item on the list - the new release schedule.

Release Schedule

Part Three won't be released just yet. Instead, I have 5 epilogue side stories prepared that I will be releasing starting next week, at the cadence of 2 chapters a week until we get through them all.

The Coffee tier members will have already read two of them. So on the days when an existing side story gets released, I will also release another one in advance before unlocking it for everyone else down the line.

And during the release of the final side story, I will do a bulk release of Ch 161-165 exclusive to the Coffee tier members. This will also create the gap I need to ensure proper separation between each of the tiers.

This is perfect because it coincides nicely with my upcoming vacation. So I can just schedule the side stories and fly off without any worries.

Additionally, I also mentioned before that once Part Two ends, I will be reducing the release frequency to only 2-3 chapters a week instead of the 4 chapters per week that we've been getting recently.

The fact is, writing so many chapters on such a consistent basis puts a lot of pressure on me and really sucks the fun out of writing. Not to mention the quality of my writing takes a massive hit as a result as well.
