The Incubus System Chapter 1108. Let’s Sit And Talk Like Decent Creatures With Common Sense

Before I could finish my sentence, Lord Damon raised a hand, and with a flick of his fingers, the door slammed shut on its own, the lock clicking ominously. Larry flinched, turning back toward us with a look of pure dread.

“He’s seen us,” Lord Damon said, his voice cold and calculating. “There’s no way we’re letting him go like that.”

I groaned inwardly. ‘Of course, you’d say that, Dad.’

Larry spun around to face me, panic written all over his face. “Dude, I’m seriously doomed!”

I exhaled a long breath, fighting the urge to roll my eyes. “You’re not doomed,” I said, dragging a hand down my face. “We just need to sort this out. Calm down, okay? All we need is a nice talk and discussion.” I turned to face them. “Just… calm down. Everyone, let’s sit and talk like decent creatures with common sense, alright?”

I glanced around the room, hoping for some sort of agreement, but all I got were tense stares. Lord Damon’s eyes stayed locked on Puriel like he was ready to pounce at any second, while Puriel’s angelic aura remained flared just enough to show she wasn’t backing down. Lilieth, meanwhile, looked like she’d rather be doing anything other than sitting in a room with an angel.

I sighed, pinching the bridge of my nose. ‘Great. This is exactly what I wanted—family drama featuring demons and angels. Just perfect.’

“Please?” I added, trying to sound kind and almost pleading. Yeah, I was this close to using my Devil Space if things got out of hand.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Lord Damon huffed. “Fine.”

‘Yes!’ I thought, mentally pumping my fist. He sat down on the couch with Lilieth by his side. Of course, his arrogance was still palpable, like he was doing me a favor by agreeing to sit. Lilieth didn’t look any happier, her eyes darting toward Puriel with thinly veiled disdain. Puriel, on the other hand, was tense, her hands resting on her knees as if ready to spring up at a moment’s notice.

“Okay,” I muttered under my breath. “Progress.”

I grabbed Larry by the arm and dragged him with me to the other couch. He plopped down next to me with a frozen, dumb weird smile on his face that screamed ‘Get me out of here.’ I ignored it. My pets quickly swarmed around me. While Red hopped right onto Larry’s lap, wagging his tail happily.

Larry blinked down at the dog, his expression still frozen. “Uh?”

Red barked once, wagging his tail even faster.

Trying to ease the atmosphere, I put on my most cheerful tone and said, “So… what brings you here, Mom, Dad?”

Lilieth’s expression softened slightly, and she gave me a warm smile. “We wanted to give you a proper congratulations, Damian. You managed to break your angelic seal, right? I’m so proud of you.”

I smiled back, genuinely touched. “Thanks, Mom.”

Lord Damon, however, couldn’t help himself. He smirked, his eyes still locked on Puriel as he added, “Yeah, congratulations for successfully making an angel suck your dick. Tell me, how much did you make her cum, huh? But I think she needs a little lesson in obedience.”

Puriel’s face turned bright red, her wings twitching in outrage. “You…!”

I quickly jumped in before things could spiral into another fight. “Okay, okay! Can we please stop the conversation about sex and stuff?” I said, raising my hands in exasperation. “Just… tone it down, alright?”

Lord Damon flicked his gaze to me, raising an eyebrow. “Why? Is it because she’s an angel?”

“No,” I said firmly. “This is not the dark dimension, and I have an innocent little sister here.” I gestured toward Celia, who was still peeking nervously from behind the kitchen counter.

She gave me a sharp look that clearly said ‘Don’t drag me into your problem!’

I smiled dryly at her and gave her a pleading look in return. ‘Oh, come on. You’ve gotta help me!’

Celia rolled her eyes but didn’t say anything, choosing to stay out of the mess entirely.

I didn’t wait for her to reply and turned back to Lord Damon. “Can we?”

Lord Damon grunted, clearly not happy about it, but he rolled his eyes and leaned back against the couch, crossing his arms. He didn’t say anything further, which I took as an agreement.

“Thank you,” I said, letting out a relieved sigh.

The room finally settled into something resembling calm, though the tension was still thick. Puriel was still glaring at Lord Damon, Lilieth was still eyeing Puriel like she didn’t trust her, and Larry… Well, Larry looked like he was trying to blend into the couch to avoid being noticed.

“So,” I said, forcing some cheer back into my voice, “now that we’ve got that sorted, maybe we can talk without killing each other.”

Lilieth smiled faintly, though her eyes didn’t leave Puriel. “Fine by me, as long as someone doesn’t throw more baseless accusations around.”

Puriel’s eyes narrowed. “Baseless? You mean the part where your kind has been corrupting worlds for centuries?”

“Here we go,” Larry muttered under his breath, stammering.

I shot him a look. ‘Not helping, Larry.’

Lord Damon leaned forward slightly, his smirk returning. “She talks a lot for someone who just spent the night in my son’s bed.”

Puriel opened her mouth, probably to unleash a tirade, but I quickly cut in. “We are not doing this again!” I said loudly, my voice firm. “Can we just… focus on something productive?”

There was a pause before Lilieth sighed, clearly bored of the whole thing. “Fine,” she said again, flicking her hair over her shoulder. “But this conversation is far less interesting without the fun parts.”

I shot her a tired look. “Thanks, Mom.”

She huffed. Lord Damon just leaned back, looking mildly entertained. Puriel, meanwhile, crossed her arms and muttered something under her breath, but at least she didn’t escalate things further.
