Seven Sins System Chapter 524. I Own You

Katrina frowned, her eyes narrowing. “Why can’t you just—”

“Because,” I cut her off, my tone sharper now, “this agreement ties my hands. I can’t go around openly declaring myself and tearing through every idiot with delusions of grandeur. Not without consequences. I don’t like it, but I need to play by the rules for now.”

Penelope tilted her head, her voice softer but still edged with curiosity. “Fair enough,” she said, though her tone suggested she wasn’t entirely convinced. “But it must be frustrating for someone like you. Having all that power and being forced to hold back.”

“It is,” I admitted, my smirk laced with irony. “But I’ve learned that even devils have to adapt. For now.”

I turned my gaze to Red, who had been watching silently, her expression unreadable. “Is there anything you want to say, Red?” I asked, my voice measured, almost challenging.

Red’s eyes flicked to me, her lips curving into a faint smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes. “No,” she said, her voice calm but layered with something deeper. “What is certain is… I don’t know whether I should be happy or sad about this.”

I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. “Oh? And why is that?”

She let out a soft chuckle, though there was no humor in it. “On one hand, the mortal realm has been my home for centuries. If you ever decide to destroy it again, that would put me in quite the dilemma.” Her gaze lingered on me, searching, as if trying to gauge my reaction. “But on the other hand…” She paused, her expression softening. “Seeing you like this—pretending to be human, restrained—it makes you not look like yourself.”

I scoffed, a dry laugh escaping me. “I get it,” I said, waving a hand dismissively. “I’m not exactly thrilled about it either, but it’s the hand I’ve been dealt.”

Turning away, I made my way back to the dining table, my movements casual, deliberate. I pulled out a chair and sat down, leaning back as I surveyed the room. My gaze fell to the tablecloth, where faint stains of blood—Katrina and Penelope’s virgin blood—marred the pristine white fabric.

The sight made me pause, my smirk fading as my thoughts wandered.

Katrina noticed my shift in demeanor and tilted her head, her curiosity evident. “Something wrong?” she asked, her voice hesitant.

I shook my head, snapping myself out of my thoughts. “Nothing,” I said smoothly, my smirk returning. “Just realizing how much of a mess we’ve made.”

Penelope, now seated near her sister, glanced at the tablecloth and flushed, clearly embarrassed. “Oh,” she murmured, her voice barely audible. “I didn’t—”

“It’s fine,” I interrupted, waving her concern away. “The mess isn’t what matters. It’s a reminder. Of what’s been given, what’s been taken, and what’s been forged.”

Katrina frowned, her arms crossing over her chest. “So, what now?” she asked, her voice firm. “You’ve got us, you’ve marked us, bound us—what’s next?”

I leaned back again, my smirk widening. “Next? We see how loyal you really are.”

Penelope crossed her arms, her expression guarded, though the faint blush still lingered on her cheeks. “Loyalty’s a funny thing, isn’t it?” she said, tilting her head slightly. “Especially when you’ve just claimed me as yours.”

I chuckled, her defiance amusing me more than it annoyed me. “Fair enough. But loyalty is earned, not demanded. That’s why I’ll make this easy for you.”

Penelope raised an eyebrow. “Easy? From what I’ve heard, devils don’t exactly specialize in ease.”

I leaned forward, resting my elbows on the table, my gaze locking onto hers. “Are you worried I’m going to make you do dirty jobs?” I asked, my voice low and teasing.

She hesitated for a moment before shrugging. “Wouldn’t be surprising. After all, you’re the Lord of Wrath. It’s not like you’re asking for tea parties.”

I grinned, leaning back again. “No… I’m not interested in that. Besides, we’re not in a state of war anymore. There’s no need for bloodshed and chaos, at least not on that scale. Simply put, you do the usual things you want to do. Live your life. Serve me when I need you.”

She narrowed her eyes, suspicion still written across her face. “Serve you how?”

I spread my hands, my tone light but tinged with seriousness. “For starters, you can help me with my little investigation. Find out who’s targeting me, who’s meddling in this realm by summoning demons and angels, and who’s stupid enough to think they can get away with it. Help me clean up this mess, and we both benefit. Call it a win-win solution.”

Penelope tapped her fingers on the table, her expression contemplative. “That sounds shallow,” she said finally, her voice tinged with skepticism. “What I’ve always heard is that devils ask for a huge price.”

My grin widened, the glint in my eyes sharpening. “Oh, my dear, the price is huge.”

Before she could respond, I activated my teleportation skill, disappearing from my seat in a flash of dark energy and reappearing directly in front of her. She gasped, startled, her body tensing as I leaned down, my gaze locking onto hers with an intensity that made her breath catch.

“I own you now, Penelope,” I murmured, my voice smooth, dangerous, and laced with satisfaction. My grin widened as I straightened, letting my words settle over her.

Her eyes widened, her breath hitching as she processed the full meaning of my declaration. Before she could say anything, I teleported back to my seat and relaxed in my chair, my movements casual as if nothing had happened.

Looking around, I let out a theatrical sigh. “Now, where’s the real dinner?” I asked, my tone light but pointed. “I’m starving. It’s not like you guys would invite me here without giving me a bite to eat, right? I’d settle for a sandwich, but if you have tomato juice, that’d be even better.”

Katrina, still seated on the edge of the table, blinked, her earlier defiance giving way to confusion. “You’re… serious?”
