The Incubus System Chapter 1072. Are You Flexing Your Size?

The Incubus System Chapter 1072. Are You Flexing Your Size?

I blinked and pointed to my face. “Oh, right. Yeah. My eyes changed color too.” One eye now shimmered with a faint blue light, while the other was a deep, shadowy black. “Erebus has this too, so I’m guessing it’s normal for Nephilim. Another perk of the hybrid life, I guess.”

Foxy nodded, still watching me with a sharp, almost predatory gaze. “And the wings?” she asked, tilting her head toward the angelic side of my wings. “They don’t exactly scream ‘demon,’ do they?”

I pointed to the soft, feathered glow of my angelic wings. “These also changed. It’s part of the transformation. My guess? The holy side came from breaking my Angelic Seal.” I paused, realizing how weird all of this probably sounded. “It’s… a lot to explain.”

I had barely noticed that I’d let go of my towel to gesture at my wings, and in that moment, the towel around my waist slipped. Before I could catch it, the damn thing fell to the floor with a soft thud.

There was a long, awkward silence.

All of their gazes immediately dropped, staring at my lower half. My jaw tightened, my composure hanging by a thread as I fought the urge to cover myself. ‘This cannot be happening.’

Foxy broke the silence first, her head tilting innocently as she said, “Oh. It’s bigger than before.” Her tone was casual, completely matter-of-fact, as if she were commenting on the weather.

Celia groaned, pressing her fingers to her temple as if trying to erase the image from her brain. “Good thing there are no feathers growing around it,” she muttered, her voice dripping with sarcasm.

Red frowned, tilting his head. “Are you flexing your size, Your Highness?” His tone was gruff, with a slight growl of accusation.

Buni hopped closer, his ears twitching. “I think he is. Yep. Definitely a flex.”

I stood there frozen for a second, my brain scrambling for a response. The air was thick with awkwardness, but I refused to let it throw me off. Taking a deep breath, I forced a confident smile, willing myself to own the situation.

With a snap of my fingers, my Demon’s Clothes skill activated, and my usual outfit appeared in a swirl of dark energy, covering me from head to toe. “Yup,” I said, grinning despite the absurdity of it all. “It was a flex.”

Shadow groaned, rolling his eyes. “Seriously?”

Rave chuckled. “You’re so full of yourself.”

Celia folded her arms. “At least put some effort into denying it next time,” she said, though there was a hint of amusement in her voice. She knew it wasn’t a flex and I was just pretending.

I shrugged, finally relaxing a little now that I wasn’t standing there completely exposed. “Hey, what can I say? It’s been a weird morning.”

Celia rolled her eyes, crossing her arms in that classic sister-who-thinks-she’s-the-boss way. “Don’t blame the morning, brother. Blame yourself. You’re the one strutting around in your Nephilim glow like some celestial peacock.”

I raised an eyebrow, smirking. “Oh, really? And what kind of sister just walks into a bathroom without knocking? You basically invited yourself to the show.”

Her face turned a faint shade of pink, and she huffed. “Don’t turn this on me! I thought you were done. Besides, why would I knock when it’s just you? It’s not like I expected you to be standing there, wings out, looking like some glowing strip dancer.”

I blinked, caught off guard. “A… strip dancer? That’s the comparison you’re going with?”

Red growled softly from the corner, his crimson eyes narrowing at me. “To be fair, you were flexing pretty hard back there.”

“I wasn’t flexing!” I admitted, throwing my arms up. “The towel just slipped. It was an accident.”

Foxy’s eyes gleamed mischievously. “And yet you still managed to look like you were posing for a portrait. Very heroic. Very… proud.”

“Proud is not the word I’d use,” Celia muttered, smirking now as she tapped her chin. “More like shameless.”

I groaned, rubbing my temples. “Okay, fine. Let’s all gang up on Ethan. It’s not like I just unlocked a whole new level of power or anything.”

Buni hopped closer, tilting his tiny head as he stared up at me. “You know, you could’ve used this ‘power’ to keep your towel on. Just saying.”

The room erupted in laughter, and I sighed, feeling my composure slowly crumble. “Okay, okay. I get it. I’m the punchline of the morning. Can we move on now? I’m hungry.”

Celia raised an eyebrow, clearly not done teasing me, but she waved a hand dismissively. “Fine, we’ll make breakfast. But you better behave yourself, angel boy.”

I smirked, ignoring the jab. “Oh, right! Food!” With a flick of my fingers, I shifted back to my human form. My wings disappeared, and the faint glow dimmed until I looked like my usual self again. “Please make me a big meal, okay? I need it.”

She rolled her eyes but didn’t argue, heading toward the stairs. “Fine. Come on, everyone.”

As we walked downstairs, Celia glanced at me out of the corner of her eye. “Brother, I have a question.”

I hummed, hands in my pockets. “What’s up?”

“How many times did you do it last night?”

I stumbled, nearly missing a step. “Huh?”

“You heard me,” she said, her voice innocent but her smirk anything but. “How many times?”

I scratched the back of my neck, glancing away. “I don’t know,” I admitted. “What’s certain is that I haven’t slept all night.”

Her eyes widened, and she stopped halfway down the stairs to look at me. “Are you serious? You’re not even tired?”

I shrugged. “Yeah, but I’m not sleepy. I guess this Nephilim thing has its perks.”

She shook her head, muttering, “You’re insane,” before continuing down the stairs.

Foxy chimed in as we reached the kitchen. “Where is she now?”

“In my room,” I said casually, pulling out a chair at the dining table. “Sleeping.”

Foxy’s ears twitched, and she leaned against the counter, her eyes narrowing. “And what’s your reason for bathing in your Nephilim form, then? That’s not exactly… normal for you.”
