Mermaid Makeup
Added 2020-10-27 13:01:01 +0000 UTCHoly crap, I'm glad this came out okay! In my previous two makeups, I've used Paradise body paint by Mehron. It's a little more on the expensive side, but it's super pigmented and goes on smoothly. It also doesn't flake or 'pull', especially when it's on my face.
This time, however, I tried a brand called TAB, which is cheaper, but still had fantastic reviews online. While TAB has nice shades to choose from and goes on smoothly, it FLAKES incredibly fast and its pigments lack the depth that Paradise has.
In order to achieve this look, I had to apply about eighteen frickin' layers to my neck and chest and it STILL came out not quite the same hue as my face. There was also the flaking... ohh, boy, the flaking...
Despite all that, I managed to pull this look together and be very pleased with it, actually! Probably won't be purchasing TAB body paint again, though. Paradise is so much easier to work with.
