I was deep in thought, my mind swirling with conflicting thoughts and emotions. ‘Okay, what should I do?’ I pondered silently, grappling with the unexpected dilemma before me.
For sure, the idea of a goddess feeling horny for a devil was both amusing and ironic. I could almost hear myself saying, ‘Does that mean she doesn't deserve to be the Goddess of Chastity anymore?’ But I knew better than to give in to temptation, especially in the midst of our mission.
Despite the undeniable arousal stirring within me, I couldn't afford to let it cloud my judgment. We had waited for this moment for days, and I wasn't about to jeopardize our plans for the sake of a fleeting impulse.
But even as I wrestled with my own desires, I couldn't ignore the potential consequences of Puriel's arousal. Her scent, while subtle, possessed an undeniable allure, one that could easily ensnare the mortals around us. Even though her scent was more subtle than a succubus', it was still something beyond a mortal's ability to resist.
“I think it came from the woman,” one of the kidnappers muttered, his voice tinged with uncertainty as he glanced in Puriel's direction.
The suggestion seemed to ignite a spark of interest among the group, prompting a hushed conversation about what to do next. I couldn't help but bristle at the implications of their words, my protective instincts kicking into overdrive.
"Should we do it here?" another voice piped up, the question hanging in the air like a dark cloud.
Before I could even process the implications of their discussion, a warning shot rang out from one of the kidnappers. "Oi, don't touch the woman before the great leader," he cautioned, his tone firm and authoritative.
But the warning fell on deaf ears, as another voice interjected with a reckless suggestion. “Just once. Just once,” he pleaded, his words laced with a dangerous undercurrent of desire.
The sound of their voices grated on my nerves, fueling a surge of anger deep within me. My possessiveness surged to the surface, threatening to consume me in its fiery grip. Every fiber of my being screamed for retribution, for punishment to be served on these insolent mortals who dared to entertain such vile thoughts.
But even as the flames of my rage threatened to engulf me, a small voice of reason whispered in the back of my mind. Besides, I couldn't ignore the fact that Puriel was more than capable of defending herself if need be.
"Well, once shouldn't be a problem," one of the kidnappers declared, his hand inching dangerously close to Puriel.
That was it! I'd had enough. My patience had worn thin, and I was ready to unleash the full force of my wrath upon them. It was the last straw for me.
‘Fuck it! If I can't kill them, I'll make sure they lose some limbs!’ I thought. With a surge of anger coursing through my veins, I prepared to invoke my curse. ‘Blood---'
But before I could use it, something unexpected happened. A strange warmth emanated from Puriel's body, enveloping the kidnappers in an invisible grip that froze them in place like statues. The sudden stillness was palpable, and even the van seemed to be caught in the eerie stillness of frozen time.
It was as if Puriel herself had become a beacon of divine power, wielding her influence over the very fabric of reality itself.
She sat without moving away from my body. Yeah, just plopped herself right on my chest like it was the most natural thing in the world. I've had some close encounters in my time, but this was pushing it. Plus, she had this look on her face like she was ready to start swinging at those kidnappers, teeth gritted and all.
She had the righteous anger down pat, but when it came to throwing down, she looked a bit lost. I guess smiting people wasn't exactly in her wheelhouse.
So, being the devilishly charming guy that I was, I decided to give her a little nudge in the right direction. We were both pretty ticked off, and those goons needed to learn a lesson or two. But first things first, I had to deal with the fact that she was basically sitting on my chest, and it wasn't the most comfortable situation.
I coughed lightly, trying to get her attention without making things awkward. “Puriel, you're kinda parked on my core there,” I pointed out, trying to keep things light. My core was in my chest. Even though it was not visible in my human disguise, but somehow I felt uncomfortable when a literary goddess sat on it.
'And you are wet,' I almost blurted out the words, but just managed to keep them inside. I mean, come on, it was pretty obvious, but pointing it out felt like crossing some kind of line. So, I bit my tongue and kept quiet, opting for a safer route.
She didn't say anything in response, but her eyes flicked down to my crotch. Thankfully, the little situation down there had calmed down, thanks to my boiling anger at those idiotic kidnappers. Seriously, the nerve of those guys.
Her gaze shifted back up to meet mine, and it was like staring into an icy abyss. If looks could kill, I'd be a goner ten times over.
"Did you see it?" she asked, her voice sending a chill down my spine. It was like a warning and a threat all rolled into one frosty package.
I scrambled to put on my best innocent face, like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar. “Nope. Didn't see a thing. Didn't smell a thing,” I blurted out, trying to sound as convincing as possible. Honestly, I wasn't sure if she bought it or not.
She answered me with a glare. Her glare could have frozen lava. It practically screamed, "Spill the truth or suffer the consequences."
