The Incubus System Chapter 836. Because Of My Semen

The Incubus System Chapter 836. Because Of My Semen

Lord Damon furrowed his brow at my question. "Reading their servants' minds, obviously," he declared out loud, as though it should have been crystal clear to me.

His answer lingered in the air, leaving me grappling with the possibility. Maybe it was worth a shot, even if I wasn’t entirely convinced of its effectiveness. "How about scouring through books or ancient records about the guardian?" I suggested, a flicker of hope illuminating my thoughts. "There might be some mention or snippet about the guardian hidden in some dusty old tome. Your dad couldn’t have conjured all his tales out of thin air; there must be some written remnants. They might have noted something down, just not something you've come across or deemed significant," I explained, trying to piece together the missing information.

Lord Damon's expression softened as he considered the possibility. "Hmm… that makes sense. We might uncover a thing or two from there," he agreed, the notion sparking a glimmer of optimism.

"Or maybe the whole shebang," I chimed in, my optimism slightly exceeding the realm of reason.

He shot me a cautionary glance. "Don't get your hopes too high. Ancient demon ways are unlike humans. They aren't big fans of jotting things down. The odds of finding a treasure trove of written records are slim," he cautioned, his tone tinged with a hint of realism.

I let out a prolonged sigh. ‘Primitive.’ The word echoed through my mind. It slipped out without a filter, a thought I didn’t mean to voice aloud.

Suddenly, a voice resonated in my mind. ‘Hey, I heard that!’ Lord Damon’s telepathic message caught me off guard. Dang it, I must have forgotten to sever the mental connection with him.

“Oops,” I mumbled, feeling a pang of guilt and embarrassment for my slip-up.

Lord Damon's voice, now out loud, cut through the air. "You need to remember, demons aren’t known for administrative skills. We're more about battling it out than filling out paperwork. Our timeline? Longer than humans. We've known language and writing way before humans even picked up a quill," he explained, his words layered with a tinge of irritation. Leaning closer, he fixed me with a pointed glare. “So, it's the humans who might be the ones lagging behind in the race, not us. Got it?” he emphasized, a subtle reminder of the stark contrast between demon and human history.

I winced, realizing I'd made a sweeping and rather ignorant assumption. "Yeah, got it," I admitted, feeling a bit sheepish. It was easy to forget that in a world so saturated with advanced human technology and bureaucracy, the demon realm might operate under entirely different norms and priorities.

Lord Damon leaned back, the intensity in his gaze softening. "Good," he said, his tone now more reassuring than admonishing. "We just need to remember our backgrounds are poles apart," he added, offering another glare of threat, a clear order to broaden my perspective.

Internally cringing at my own blunder, I mustered up an awkward smile. It was clear that Lord Damon took pride in his demon kin, and any slight against them was like poking a sleeping dragon. Even though my comment was just a thoughtless slip-up, I knew better than to stoke that fire. "Okay, okay. I got it," I quickly interjected, trying to smooth things over.

Lord Damon folded his arms in front of his chest, letting out a snort. "So, what we need is people to check that," he remarked, changing the subject.

I opened my mouth. "Why don't---" Before I could finish my sentence, he cut me off. "It's definitely not me and you," he emphasized, halting my suggestion in its tracks. "We're already swamped with our own mountain of duties," he reminded me, his tone firm.

I bit my lip, realizing he had a point. I was just about to propose the same thing. "So, who then?" I probed, curious to know who he had in mind for this particular task.

“Maybe Lilieth. The generals are incompetent for this job," Lord Damon suggested with a huff, clearly pondering the best course of action.

“Lilieth, huh?” I mulled over the idea. A perplexed expression settled on my face. "Why?" I questioned, trying to wrap my head around this newfound piece of information.

Lord Damon leaned forward, his tone laced with certainty. "The access. Only those related to the royal line have entries. That's why the generals wouldn't cut it," he explained, a hint of mystery in his words. I assumed it must be some sort of exclusive domain, perhaps a library or some repository of knowledge accessible only to a select few.

"But hold on a second," I interjected, my confusion mounting. "Wasn't Lilieth a human just like the generals?" The realization struck me as odd. If lineage was the key, why would someone not born into the demon royal lineage have access?

Damon sighed, a hint of weariness in his expression. "Yes, she was human. But she's different," he admitted, a sense of complexity underlying his words.

I raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the revelation. "So, what’s the deal with Lilieth then? She’s part of the royal circle despite being a human?" The idea felt like a piece of an unsolved puzzle, making me even more curious.

“She connects with me more than the others," he stated, his tone tinged with an underlying significance that piqued my curiosity.

I furrowed my brow, seeking to understand this unique bond. "Because of the contract? But haven't all the generals also given their loyalty to you? That's a kind of contract too, right?" I probed, attempting to make sense of the intricate dynamics between Damon and his generals.

His response was swift and sharp, his expression contorting into an ugly frown. “Because of my semen, of course. Are you dumb? I spent all my cum in her for a hundred years,” he retorted, his annoyance evident as if I should have known better. The statement hit me like a lightning bolt, leaving me momentarily stunned by the unexpected revelation.
