The Incubus System Chapter 762. Dramatic

The Incubus System Chapter 762. Dramatic

Before I could utter a single word in response to Puriel's outburst, she gasped, her hands flying to cover her mouth in shock. The realization seemed to hit her like a bolt of lightning, her flushed face betraying a mixture of embarrassment and panic. "Wait... you're planning to... take advantage of me?" she stammered, her voice filled with disbelief. Hysteria began to seep into her tone as she clutched her body, attempting to shield herself from an imaginary threat. "No! I'm not ready for that!" she exclaimed, her words punctuated by dramatic sobs. "This is not even my real body!"

I turned to face her, my weary expression portraying the exhaustion I felt. I had been accustomed to Puriel's penchant for overreacting, but at that moment, I simply couldn't summon the energy to cringe or play along with her theatrics.

"Yeah, I'm going to take you now," I responded in a flat, disinterested tone. "But don't worry, you can save yourself by kicking me out of this dream spell," I added, my voice devoid of any trace of amusement. It was clear that I had no interest in participating in her dramatic charade.

My statement seemed to trigger a sudden shift within Puriel. The hysteria that had consumed her mere moments ago dissipated, replaced by a glimmer of realization. She halted her histrionics and let out a breath, her voice now tinged with newfound understanding. "Oh, you're right," she acknowledged, her tone carrying a hint of self-awareness.

I couldn't help but smirk in response, satisfaction curling the corners of my lips. It appeared that my blunt approach had succeeded in cutting through the melodrama. If Puriel followed through and expelled me from her dream spell, I would finally be able to find respite in a deep slumber. The prospect of sleep settled over me like a cozy blanket, lulling me into a state of contentment.

With a flicker of anticipation, I closed my eyes once more, awaiting the moment when Puriel would release her control over the dream spell. A sense of relief washed over me as I envisioned the peaceful slumber that awaited. However, as the seconds stretched into minutes, a growing unease gnawed at the edges of my consciousness. Something felt off—my expulsion from the dream spell had not transpired as expected. More than that, I could feel her stare at me like a hot laser that penetrated my brain.

I blinked my eyes open, the weight of Puriel's unwavering gaze bearing down on me. As expected, she sat beside me, her gaze fixed upon me with a childlike curiosity. There was no trace of fear on her face; instead, she regarded me with the wonder of a child observing a playful kitten.

A disgruntled grumble escaped my lips as I turned to face her, my brows furrowing in frustration. "Weren't you the one who said you wanted to kick me out of this dream spell?" I muttered, my voice laced with a touch of complaint. The situation had taken an unexpected turn, leaving me perplexed and somewhat irritated.

Puriel's innocent reply only added to my bewilderment. "You don't look like someone who wants to take advantage of me," she stated, her tone sincere and devoid of suspicion.

My breath hitched as a long exhale escaped my lips, contemplating the situation at hand. Puriel's innocence had unwittingly unveiled a vulnerability within me, sparking an internal struggle. At that moment, a mischievous idea took hold, a plan to prompt her into taking action. Without hesitation, I seized her body and gently pushed her to the side, positioning myself above her in an assertive display of control and dominance.

With an evil grin etching itself across my face, I challenged her in a low, taunting tone. "Do I appear to be in the mood for such activities now?" My words dripped with twisted anticipation, a strategic attempt to provoke her into expelling me from the dream spell. After all, if she released me, I could finally find solace in a good sleep.

Yet, what followed was beyond anything I had expected.

“Kyaaaa!” Puriel's piercing scream pierced the air, reverberating through the room. In an instant, her knee kicked my balls which caused my face to drain of all color, leaving me pale and breathless.

My eyes widened in shock, the searing pain pulsating through my body causing my thoughts to blur momentarily. "F—uck..." I groaned through gritted teeth, my voice strained with agony. The impact had been forceful, leaving me reeling and questioning the nature of this dream. Why did the pain feel so alarmingly real?

As I lay on the ground, my body wracked with discomfort, and a wave of frustration washed over me. The absence of a damage announcement hinted that the pain might be confined to my own mind, a torment meant solely for my consciousness. It was a cruel reminder of the intricacies and unexpected twists that dreams could harbor.

Meanwhile, Puriel wasted no time in seizing the opportunity to escape. She swiftly slipped away. A resounding yell filled the air as she distanced herself from me, her words filled with both anger and disappointment. "I knew I shouldn't have trusted the king of perverts!" Her accusatory voice lingered in the air, a testament to her newfound disillusionment.

Splayed on the ground, my pain a constant companion.

Slowly, I mustered the strength to lift myself off the ground, though the pain continued to gnaw at my body. A whine escaped my lips as I clutched my injured area, attempting to suppress the discomfort that threatened to consume me. "Then... send me back," I pleaded, my voice laced with an earnest desire. "All I want now is a peaceful sleep.”

"No!" Puriel's voice rang out with stubborn determination, cutting through the air like a knife. Her refusal echoed in my ears, dashing my hopes for a swift exit from this dream realm. The weight of her unwavering resolve settled upon me, leaving me both frustrated and perplexed.
