The Incubus System Chapter 740. Are You Going To Hunt People?

The Incubus System Chapter 740. Are You Going To Hunt People?

Camila's eyebrows arched in surprise as she absorbed the revelation. "Okay, that's definitely new," she remarked, her tone laced with a mix of curiosity and intrigue.

Olivia couldn't resist chiming in with a question of her own. "Why only him?" she asked, her voice filled with genuine curiosity.

A heavy sigh escaped my lips as I grappled with how best to explain the intricacies of the situation. "You all are my partners, my trusted companions," I began, my voice tinged with a mixture of gratitude and affection. "I have a deep connection with each of you, and my instincts always guide me when any of you are in danger. My protection is a constant presence in your lives."

I paused, my eyes locking with Olivia's and Camila's, making sure they understood the depth of my words. "But with Larry, it's different. Unless I turn him into my servant, I don't know if he's in danger or not.”

Olivia's eyes widened as she attempted to piece together the puzzle. "You mean...," she began, her voice filled with anticipation, wanting to grasp the truth that hung in the air.

I nodded, confirming her guess. "Yes, if I were to make him my servant, he would undergo a transformation and become a demon," I clarified, my voice laced with a mix of certainty and caution. The weight of this revelation settled over us, the magnitude of the decision becoming increasingly apparent.

Olivia's expression twisted with a mixture of surprise and disbelief. "So, he would become an incubus like you?" she asked, her voice tinged with a hint of incredulity. "Well, I mean I can't imagine him being an incubus and engaging in seductive encounters with women," she admitted, a playful smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. The image of Larry, known for his awkward charm and endearing quirks, attempting to seduce women was hard to picture.

I couldn't help but laugh at Olivia's remark, my amusement mingling with a sense of realization. "Well, if he were to transform into an incubus, I suppose he would become even more captivating and alluring than he already is," I mused, a playful glint in my eyes. The idea of Larry, with his endearing quirks and boy-next-door charm, possessing an otherworldly charm as an incubus was both intriguing and comical.

Olivia quickly clarified her point, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. "No, no, I meant his weird personality. I can't imagine him unleashing his inner seducer and captivating the hearts of others," she explained, her voice laced with humor.

“Oh…” I cringed.

Camila's doubtful comment brought a slight chuckle to my lips. "Well, if it ever comes to that, perhaps Pearl can offer some guidance," I replied, my tone tinged with humor.

“Anyway, what about Mia? Have you discussed your next plan with her?”  My laughter subsided as Camila shifted the topic to Mia.

Camila's question brought my attention back to the pressing matter at hand. "No, I haven't discussed it with Mia yet," I admitted, my voice tinged with anticipation. "I'm waiting for her telepathy."

Her eyebrows shot up in surprise. "You mean you won't see her in person?" she clarified, her tone filled with curiosity. Olivia leaned in closer, her eyes shining with intrigue as she awaited my response.

I shook my head, a small smile playing on my lips. "No, I won't physically see her," I clarified. "I wish I could meet Mia in person too, but she is in her own kingdom," I confessed, my tone tinged with a hint of wistfulness.

Camila nodded in understanding, her expression reflecting a mix of empathy and relief. "That's precisely why I prefer the simplicity of business over the complex world of politics," she admitted, a hint of weariness lacing her words. The cutthroat nature of politics, with its intricate power dynamics and hidden agendas, held little appeal for her.

Olivia's curiosity got the better of her once again, and she pressed on with her questions. "And what about the chairwoman? Since she's already your partner, what's your plan?" she inquired, her voice filled with a mix of concern and curiosity.

I pondered Olivia's question for a moment before responding, my words measured. "I'm waiting," I replied simply, my voice carrying a sense of purpose and patience.

"For what?" they asked simultaneously, their brows furrowing in confusion as they sought clarity.

"My hunting list," I proclaimed with an innocent smile, though the mischievous twinkle in my eyes betrayed the true nature of my intentions.

Camila's eyebrows shot up in surprise as she sought an explanation. "Wait, you're going to hunt people?" she asked, her voice laced with a mix of concern and disbelief.

I couldn't help but let out a mischievous chuckle at her reaction. "Well, you could say that," I replied, my voice dripping with amusement. "But don't worry, I'm not planning on ending any lives. Well… It depends on whether they agree or not with my request though," I relished the suspense that hung in the air.

Camila's eyes narrowed as she sought clarification, determined to grasp the full extent of my plan. "Wait, so you're planning to seize authority through force?" she asked, her voice laced with a mixture of concern and disbelief.

I shook my head, a wry smile playing on my lips. "Not exactly," I corrected her, my tone tinged with amusement. "I wouldn't go so far as to start a war or launch a full-blown revolution. That's not my style." I paused for a moment, collecting my thoughts. “On the other side… I know they've been targeting me," I added, my voice laced with a hint of disapproval.

Olivia let out an exasperated huff, clearly frustrated by the actions of the authorities. "They are desperate," she muttered, her voice laced with indignation.

Camila chimed in with a correction. "No, it's not just them. The entire human world is desperate," she interjected, her words heavy with a mix of sympathy and resignation.

I huffed. "If that's the case," I mused aloud, "then perhaps they should be seeking cooperation with the great demon, rather than resorting to creating a weapon out of someone." Irony dripped from my words, a bitter reminder of the irony inherent in the situation.
