297. 17 Wild Dom Play: The Incubus Dark Romance (4)

Maria's eyes narrowed at my offer, and I could see the suspicion written all over her face.

"I don't want your charity," she said, her voice cold and distant.

I could feel the frustration building inside of me. It seemed like everything I did only made the situation worse.

"I'm not offering out of charity," I said, my voice rising slightly. "I'm offering because I want to ease the tension between us."

Maria remained silent, her eyes fixed on me as if she were trying to read my thoughts.

For a moment, I thought she might refuse my offer, but then she relented slightly.

"Fine," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "Water, please."

I nodded and poured her a glass of water from the pitcher on the table, handing it to her with a small smile.

As she took the glass from me, our fingers brushed, and I could feel the electricity between us. But then Maria withdrew her hand, and the tension between us returned in full force.

I watched as Maria picked up the glass of water I had poured for her, but instead of taking a sip, she set it back down on the table with a soft clink.

"I appreciate the gesture, but I changed my mind," she said, her voice laced with bitterness.

I was surprised by that turnout event. But I regained my composure and continued my act. "I'm sorry for the pain that my empire has caused your kingdom," I said, my voice filled with remorse.

She looked up at me with a steely gaze, her expression unreadable.

"Words are easy, but actions speak louder," she said, her voice cutting like a knife.

I nodded, understanding the truth in her words.

"I know that trust must be earned, and I am willing to do whatever it takes to prove my sincerity," I said my voice earnestly.

Maria remained silent for a moment, and I could see the wariness in her eyes.

"I don't know if I can trust you," she said, her voice filled with skepticism, more than before. Her eyes filled with disbelief.

I could feel my patience wearing thin as Maria continued to rebuff my attempts to gain her trust. She seemed to soften slightly, conceding that I wasn't as terrible as she initially thought, but she was unwilling to give me her heart. I became increasingly frustrated with her unwillingness to see me as anything but the enemy.

"Maria, I'm trying to make amends," I said, my voice growing louder. "I'm not saying you have to forgive me right away, but at least hear me out. I didn't ask for this war. I was put in this position by circumstance, and I'm doing everything I can to end it peacefully. Can't you see that?"

She sighed, her gaze flickering to the ground for a moment before meeting my eyes once more. "I can see that you're trying, but that doesn't change what your empire has done to my people."

Her words hit me like a slap in the face, and I felt my anger rise. "I understand that," I said through gritted teeth. "But you can't hold me personally responsible for everything that's happened."

Maria raised an eyebrow, her expression incredulous. "You're the prince of your empire. You have power and influence. You could have done something to stop this, but you didn't."

I could feel my hands clenched into fists at my sides, my patience evaporating in the face of her stubbornness. "What do you want from me, Maria?!" I snapped. "I'm doing everything I can to make things right, but you won't even give me a chance! You're being unfair!"

"I'm being unfair?!" Maria scoffed. "You took me from my home, my family, my people. You're keeping me here against my will. And you expect me to just forgive you?!"

Her words struck a nerve, and I could feel my temper flaring. "I didn't want to take you," I growled. "I had no choice! And I'm not keeping you here against your will. You're my prisoner. What do you expect me to do, just let you go?!"

Maria stood up from her seat, her eyes flashing with anger. "I don't know what I expected," she said, her voice cold. "But I know it wasn't this. I won't forgive you for what your empire has done to mine, and I won't pretend that everything is okay between us. But I'll try to tolerate your presence for as long as I have to. And I think I have enough for today," Then she pointed to the exit. “Now, please leave,” she demanded in a firm tone.

I straightened my back and looked at her with a cold gaze, my resolve hardening.

"I will not leave," I said firmly, my voice sharp and commanding. "I may have lost my temper, but that does not mean I have not changed. You have no right to judge me so harshly."

Maria flinched at my words, her eyes widening in shock at the change in my demeanor. I could see the hurt and confusion etched on her face as she looked at me, but I refused to back down.

"I understand that you have been hurt, but that does not give you the right to treat me with such disdain," I continued, my voice becoming colder with each word. "You may be a princess, but you are still a prisoner in my empire, and you will treat me with respect."

She looked at me with a mix of fear and anger, her silver hair cascading down her shoulders like a waterfall of moonlight. For a moment, neither of us said anything, the tension between us palpable.

“I can’t grant your wish,” she said coldly.

I looked at her in disappointment. My anger was clear from my expression.

"Then I also have enough for all of this. I will make you mine no matter what you say," I stated. Then without further ado, I pulled her roughly and threw her body to the bed.
