2022-10-01 09:41:14 +0000 UTCIf you take a good look In one of those latest scenes, where u see his mom gettinh eaten and him being carried by hannes, u'll see how Eren has different clothes on than back in s1, even tho 5 episodes ago they kept the right clothes as in episode 1. Besides his mom gets tossed into dina's mouth compared to getting her spine broken and lowered into the mouth. Certain people who dislike the manga ending (because it wasn't too great) are considering this to be a big hint towards an anime original ending, so take out the copium :)

2022-09-16 18:36:48 +0000 UTCI think everyone has stated the complexity and heart wrenching sides of Eren. Since he kissed Historia's hand he knew what he was going to do. That's why he cried. But his love for his friends is far greater than his pain he feels for the world he'll destroy. I don't condone Eren but I understand why he does it. Because let's face it, the world didn't want to sit and talk things out. They already made up their mind about Paradis. So Eren shut down his feelings in order to finish his duty to have his friends live happy. Eren will take the freedom of others before they take away his. Also in the lyrics of Attack on titan it says: Is this the destroyer or the creator? And the marleyan at the end answered and said, "its the attack titan!"

That takes on a new meaning when you consider that Titans are Eldians who were exiled to Paradis by Marley. This episode shows both the extent of which Eren loves his comrades and that he doesn't see any other way to move forward that doesn't include risking the lives of those very people. They are the only thing he cares about.

Growing up in the slums Levi probably had an sweet spot for him. Which is why he both saved the kid and didn't care that he took the coin purse. Very cool detail.

Not specifically for the ending, but for the flashback episode that will appear. Eren is a complex character and hands down the most beautifully constructed character imo. <3

2022-09-16 02:07:07 +0000 UTCI do NOT know how the series will end... but I will say that this episode is very interesting to track Eren's thoughts and motivations. Ever since he kissed Historia's hand and accessed his father's memories, Eren has known what he's going to do and what will happen. He's willing to become the villain so he can protect his friends. The last scene where they're getting drunk and partying it up in the refugee camp is the most heartbreaking. He cries... he's wistful... but he takes a moment to enjoy it. Because he knows this is probably the last moment of peace before everything goes down. I'm expecting bittersweet ending. Excited to see how things turn out. It feels like the mangaka had a message and story he really wanted to tell.

And current eren knows what he is about to do to the world is pure evil and sick with him killing so many innocents. So his way of coping with what he is about to do is reverting his mind to a child like state as he called everyone he’s about to kill a monster after that quick flashback. Not necessarily because he is angry at the world. Eren is far too complex for that
