- While sketching this page, I wanted to continue with the action from the previous page, and then have a brief moment of calm before anything else happens. What you see here is one of my favourite moments from this page.
- I began to add all the 3D backgrounds, along with the 2D assets. Then I converted all the 3D background and assets, into line art, eventually I sketched out each pose for each panel.
- I would add 3D assets of various objects, such as clothing, objects, and weapons, while outlining all the simple panels, and then I would roughly draw over them to save time.
- I started shading all the simple panels on this page right after finishing the outlining phase. To get a concept of what I wanted for shading this panel, I simply placed a rough guide over the pose.
- Lastly, I added all the sound effects, speech bubbles, and then I coloured in all the gems and various gem related effects. Therefore, I included some action lines, smoke assets, and even a vibrant trail for the gems for after the explosion blasts them both away. I blurred both panels to further emphasize movement to make it appear more real.
