- I started page twenty-one by downloading more stock backgrounds of different kinds of alleyways and storefronts so I could be prepared for future pages. Afterwards I added the poses and converted them into line art.
- Later on I drew over the poses and for the female character I added the mouth, I did this mostly because I was doodling mouth until I found the right one. Then I added the speech bubbles early on so I could save time later down the line.
- Eventually I got to work on outlining both characters. While doing this I decided to ink on separate coloured layers so that I wouldn't mix them up. After finishing off the line work I added the 3D shoes to the canvas. Then when everything looked finished I added the arms for the female character and the main character.
- Here's the finished results for outlining the page.
- Afterwards I sketched and outlined the face, then I got to work on adding all the gradients, textures and halftones for both characters. Then when everything's completed I export the image as a PNG.
