I remastered this album so I can send it to streaming services. "idiôm" has been inactive for years and I don't plan on bringing it back. it was like my "beats" project. not super interesting. in september 2016 my cousin visited me in oak park from mexico and we made this whole album. his project is Diagonal Once (highly recomended). this is an entirely collaborative effort and i honestly couldn't really tell you who did what, it just happened and was most likely 50/50
"surface" this was the first song we made sat down together. makes me think of driving through the city at night
"ocean" he had most of this song recorded already because he had been working on it on the airplane. I'm pretty sure the part where the guitars come in i helped out a lot (definitely wrote the vocal melody)
"ciudad" this means city, he wrote the lyrics "dime donde estás, a dónde vas, que en las sombras de la calle no te van a rescatar. no mires hacia atrás, deja de soñar, porque vives en un mundo llamado la realidad" in english it says "tell me where you are, where you're going, cause in the shadows of the street they won't rescue you. don't look back, stop dreaming, because you live in a world called reality". I don't know what he was talking about exactly, probably the fact that you can't really walk securely around mexico city at night, or maybe he was just writing words to fit the atmosphere. I never really asked him
"viento calma" this doesn't actually really make gramatical sense. it kind of can be interpreted as "the wind calms" while at the same time meaning "calm wind". I think we just thought it sounded cool.
also it seems that I'm posting about albums in a very random order.. that's because I am. I'm going through a disorganized list of old albums to remaster, send to spotify, and talk about on patreon. but In this fashion I will get to all of them
