the instrumental for this song (except for drums which I recorded sometime in 2021) (and also the extra synths) was recorded in 2016. (july 4 2016). the working title was "Rose". this predates "rose" that appeared on "rose lavender". I don't think I was that firm on this song being about "rose" or anything like that, but that's at least where the idea came from. I actually went through 2 other songs called "rose" before actually settling on the rose that you hear on rose lavender. the other "proto rose" is going to be on the albvum with this, stay tuned...
the original recording had this guitar solo going on at the end where the clean guitar is. for some reason I liked playing guitar solos back in 2016. I hate guitar solos. I think they're so bad and I cringe at any time I've ever put a guitar solo in my music, so I took it out. there was also another section that went on after the clean guitar ending but I took it out aswell because it made no sense and the song didn't really need to keep going on after that. my girlfriend wrote the lyrics to this song, so I won't talk about their personal meaning
