after this song there's just one left to finish and it's the one I mentioned I want to have a certain guest vocal appearance, should be done soon. this song just like the rest of the album was "written" ages ago, in particular january 8 2019, writing new songs for "life" when I had a full band. I recorded myself playing this song on the guitar just for reference and didn't actually officially record the song until just now. aside from the guitar riffs I had an idea in my head of how I wanted the drums to go. "coma garden" (which is what the album is going to be called) came from 1: a band I really liked when I was 16 and 2: at around this time I kind of wanted to change the band name from "life" and we thought coma garden was cool. afterwards "coma garden" refers to the emotional side of what was going on in my life at the time. the lyrics were something I wrote a long time ago around that time as well, I never planned for the lyrics to be for the song until recently, the lyrics to me always felt like something that would go on a comforting track. written on december 31st at midnight:

the lyrics are basically about disassociation following traumatic and painful events. I won't say anything else about that situation. the music was also written about and because of severe pain I was going through. the lofi recording is intentional

after this album I have demo 5 planned that I want to finish, and following that I'm not sure what will be of life, maybe a demo six or full length. some of you on here said you'd be willing to play life with me as a live band and I'm so down
