Liked the book. The romantic bits at the start were rather cringeworthy but I was amused by the outcome. Otherwise good characters, tech, pace, and scope. Seems like it has potential for expansion with stories told elsewhere in the same universe, which I gather might be why the series title is in two parts. Looking forward to seeing where it goes.
