5.2 Patch Preparation
Added 2020-02-17 20:46:02 +0000 UTCJust a friendly reminder, tomorrow is patch day for 5.2. In order to ensure you have a clean transition to keep your mod files and game files clean, please follow these steps BEFORE UPDATING THE GAME:
1. Create a backup modpack of all your mods. In the Textools menu, go to Mods > Create Modpack > Simple modpack. This may take a while to load up all your mod files depending on how many you have installed. Once everything is loaded, click the "Select All" button. Name your backup in the "Name:" input box. You can leave the Author and Version boxes blank or fill these out with whatever you want. Then press "Create Modpack".
2. Once you have verified your backup file is created (it will by default be located in Documents/Textools/Modpacks) go to the Textools menu and select Help > Start Over. This will completely erase all mods and return your game to vanilla state.
3. Close Textools and wait until the 5.2 patch is available for download.
4. After the game is live, verify within the mod community (as well as in my Discord) to see if Textools needs an update before reimporting your mods. If everything looks clear, go to Textools menu and select Mods > Import modpacks. Then select the backup file you created in step 1.
