Side-Project - Poll #2 - The MC's Superpower!
Added 2025-10-26 05:12:18 +0000 UTCSo, it was a close vote, but the MCU (Marvel Cinematic Universe, ie, world of Iron Man, Spiderman, Captain America, Thor, etc.) was the most voted choice, so this story project will take place there!
After I finish this side-project, I might do a second with one of the other worlds, it really just depends on if I enjoy the process.
This is, like I mentioned before, just something I'm doing for fun and for practice - a productive way to use my free time when I'm not working on R:A.
I think this will be a good challenge, especially when it comes to (eventually) the timeline shenanigans of the TVA and writing from the perspective of powerful cosmic beings.

Now, our MC will have carelessly filled out a form here on Earth - that form will grant him a special power that will come with him alongside his new life in the MCU.

This is extremely exciting. I mean, I already adore Reborn: Apocalypse, and now we're getting a story for an SI (Self-Insert) equivalent in the Marvel Universe? We're being fed. The Naruto System seems like a load of fun, as does the Power Thief Ability/System. I'm definitely most into the RPG Gamer System, since it's most like the stories I've read. You know, the whole "Starting in the MCU with a Golden Finger" equivalents. If you haven't read it, there is a story called "12 Steps to Omnipotence" that started my interest in these kinds of stories, and could serve as a really good baseline or inspiration. MC enters the MCU, and gains powers by enhancing himself with the different technology and methods. It's definitely not the best, but it's still a fun read. I saw in another comment you mentioned getting powers via canon methods, and this is a great example. There are a multitude of others on sites like Fanfiction.net and Royal Road, etc. Looking forward to seeing what you write!
