The idea behind Orion Thunderfist's character design and motivations was inspired, in part, by Archdeacon Claude Frollo from The Hunchback of Notre Dame.
You can see me pay homage to this fact by giving his fallen wife the name 'Maria,' of whom he at one point begs forgiveness.
This refers back to the Archdeacon's song 'Hellfire' from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, in which the man begs 'Maria' for salvation that he can never have.
