What's Next For the Patreon + Thoughts

And that's all the major edits completed for Immortal Great Souls #4! I'm going to send the manuscript off to my copy editor, and do a final read through when he sends it back at the end of the month. I'll probably tighten some of the pacing and Scorio's emotional character arc at that point, then send it over to Podium and prepare to publish The Lost Cube on Amazon. I'm also going to update the Patreon chapters to reflect the edits, and make download copies available to Pyre Lord backers.

What a journey it's been!

And I can whole-heartedly say that sharing this process with you guys here on Patreon has been an unmitigated success. You've been enthusiastic, supportive, and bursting with good ideas and suggestions. Reading your comments has been a genuine pleasure, and you've shown yourselves to have great instincts for good story as well as how to provide constructive criticism in how to improve things.

Fantastic. I'm honored to have you all along for the ride, and look forward to sharing many more books with you here in the months to come!

Speaking of which, here's what I'm thinking for what's next:

I'm going to take the coming week to rest my wrists, catch my breath, and clear my mind. Then I think I'm going to tackle the last book in the Gods of the Game/Krieg Chess trilogy, and will post free download links to Books 1 and 2 below for whomever would like to catch up with that story. Each book is only about 85k words, so they're quick to read, and the third book should be just as quick to write. 85k words should take me about 3 or so weeks, so I hope to be done by the end of October.

Grab your free copy of Gods of the Game 1 & 2 here.

From there, I'll roll into Throne Hunters #5. That'll be a more substantive novel, about 150k, so that might be what I work on through the end of the year.

As you can see from the graphic up top, I have around eight books left to finish all my current series. That's about 2 solid years of work, at which point I'll be ready to start dreaming up entirely new stories. First, however, I'm going to fulfill all the promises I've already made to my readers, and finish everything that I've started.

And I'm so glad to have you guys accompany me along the way.

Cheers!

Phil

I'd highly recommend Skadi's Saga, it's excellent.

So happy you decided to put Lost Cube on Patreon. Loved the experience with Throne Hunters and LOVED it even more with Lost Cube. Big time fan of all your writing so stoked Krieg Chess 3 is about to start. Can’t wait to see how powerful Charoen becomes! And your writing pace is beyond incredible - starting and finishing it in 3 weeks da**!!! Going to enjoy Gods of the Game and then going back to Harald, Vic, Nessa, and Karsek. OK got to take a break and run to the Kitty Katt Club….kidding of course. Keep up the fantastic work Phil! 👏🔥👏🔥👏🔥
