BTS - Destiny 2 - Mara Sov
Added 2021-04-10 18:02:06 +0000 UTCBeen wanting to put together a Mara Sov model lately, so I did. Ran into some setbacks hacking the head model onto the body. The ported Mara model is quite old so it doesn't have original Bungie rigging, and thus had a custom armature that was very messy and hard to link together with the nude body armature.
So after days of frustration, I said fuck that armature and just used Auto Rig Pro to rig her head and face, and then linked it with the nude body. Worked much better. I would've used ARP to rig the entire body, but the tool really doesn't like when hands and fingers are not facing the ground, which is the case here since I used my Eris Morn model as a base, and her fingers are posed to the Bungie standard for compatibility with her outfit. Admittedly, it doesn't matter as much with Mara because she doesn't wear gloves, but I'm too lazy to repose the fingers/make an entirely new model for her.
Maybe in the near future I'll make a Petra Venj model as well, perhaps even Uldren Sov/The Crow? Speaking of The Crow, I really wish there was an Amanda Holliday model ported. Given their interactions during this season of Destiny 2, it would be cool to make some R34 with her and The Crow.
