Progress Journal, November #2

Greetings Mythicists! I hope your November is going well and your player characters get at least one Random Event with a PC Positive soon!

Here's what's going on here:

Mythic GME 2e Press Edition
The offset press edition of Mythic GME 2e is done. They sent me a couple copies to look over before they ship, just to make sure nothing awful happened. Not only does all appear well, but the books are beautiful :)

They will be making their way to Indie Press Revolution where they will go on sale publicly. I don't know when exactly that will take place, but I'm hoping it happens by December 3.

Here's a photo of my colleague, Porsha, giving the book a quality control check.

Black Friday/Cyber Monday
DTRPG is having their after Thanksgiving Black Friday, Cyber Monday sale, and I'll be participating with books up to 40% off. I'll send out some social media reminders about this right before. This is one of DTRPG's biggest sales of the year, not just on my stuff but on all kinds of RPG goodness!

The Mythic App Is Live!
Jason Holt Digital has got the Mythic App back and better than ever! It's currently available for Apple and Amazon, and soon for Android. The reception to it so far has been wonderful :) You can find out more about it here: https://www.wordmillgames.com/mythic-gme-2e-app.html

Work Continues
I'm currently working on the Combat chapter of Mythic Roleplaying 2e, and the One-Page Character Crafter chapter for Micro Mythic. I know I'm not the fastest game designer in the world, but these two books are coming along nicely and I'm happy with how they're shaping up so far.

The Dungeon Crafter
With Compilation #7 done, and the app well under way, I have room in my schedule for the next project to start taking shape: The Dungeon Crafter. This is a standalone book version of The Crypts Of Kozen Crest from issue #44. I'm going to expand on that system for a wider and more complete random dungeon generator.

This will be considered a "Crafter" book, so I guess I need to come up with a unique color to represent it. Green and purple have been claimed, and red kind of with the Creature Crafter. Any ideas what color would go well with a dungeon book?

Mythic Magazine #48
I'm working on the next issue of the magazine, and this one has a first in it: a mini, stand-alone RPG. This is an experiment to see if I can mash together some of the One-Page ideas, and the solo adventure module ideas, into a complete solo RPG. The game in this issue is Steal The Rebellion!, a heist solo game set in a sci-fi universe of imperial dominance where you must steal a set of crucial plans to help topple the evil regime.

That's about it for now! Thank you for being a Patron, and being a part of our solo gaming community :) Happy adventuring!

Heist adventures are fun :) I'm inspired by Star Wars properties like Rogue One and Andor for this. It'll have a version of the One-Page Success Check. The conversation tools won't be in it, however you're correct that the One-Page Conversation Crafter in Micro Mythic is patterned after the rules from Slice Of Life. I really like how that turned out.

Tana Pigeon

Very excited for Steal the Rebellion. Everyone loves a heist adventure. Will this feature the One-Page Success Check and Conversation Crafter tools? Are the conversation crafter tools similar to what you offered in Running Solo Slice of Life Adventures?

Bill

Thank you :) When I get to putting it together, I'll try that color out.

Tana Pigeon

I was thinking nor black, but like a dark gray, like charcoal or something like that. I will put a hex code, just so you get the idea? : #3d3d3d Thats kinda the feel I was thinking.

Isn't she a cutie :) She chose us, showing up on our porch one day. We would visit with her on the porch almost every night. We already had a cat at the time, another stray we took in, so we couldn't bring this one into the house. They just didn't get along. So she was our porch kitty for about two years, and we visited with her just about every evening. Then, our cat died. She was already pretty old when we took her in, so it wasn't a total surprise. Still, we had hoped to have her for longer. With her passing, we allowed our porch kitty to become our house kitty, and she's been with us inside the house for a couple of years now, where she is quite content. That's the tale of Porsha the porch kitty :)

Thank you for sharing your caaaaat!!!

Hi Brian :) We're still waiting on Google to approve the app for the Play Store, but that should come any day now. The app you currently have is most likely the previous one. The new app is considered separate from the original (we tried to have it continue, but that didn't work). If you'd like to fill out the redemption form that would work :) Thank you, and happy adventuring with the new app!

Tana Pigeon

Thank you Brian for the heads up. Yes, I'm aware of it, and it mostly falls within the CC license I've made available. I need to contact them to ask them to include the proper attribution, but as far as the app itself it's fine as long as it's free.

Have just purchased the Mythic app and it looks great. Looking forward to trying it out 👍

Also, I don't know if you're aware of this, but someone else has a version of Mythic GME 2e on the Google Play store. NOt sure if you approved it. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=idispatch.mythic_gme_adventures&hl=en_US

I have the Mythic GME on my Android phone now, but I can't seem to find what version in the app. Also the app currently doesn't appear to be listed in the Google Play store. Will the app I have currently installed be updated automatically or do I need to fill out the form on the website to get the new version? Thanks in advance!

Brian Hazard

DTRPG 👍 I'll definitely be purchasing some Mythic Magazine Compilations. Thank you!

Sean Barber

Steal the rebellion sounds great! Can't wait to play it!

Black .... ohhh, I hadn't even considered that. I'm liking this. The book could go for a general creepy dungeon vibe as well. Make it ooze with danger.

Tana Pigeon

Orange was basically Variations, so would be an homage. However, dungeons are dark and sinister, so it must be black as despair. The Black Book also sounds good next to the Red Book.

Deathworks

Dungeon crafter could be orange like the glow of a torch
