Progress Journal, November #1
Added 2024-11-08 19:22:40 +0000 UTCGreetings Mythicists! I hope your November is going well and your NPCs are giving your PCs just enough of a hard time to make it fun :)
Here's what's going on here:

Mythic GME 2e Offset Edition
Print Ninja is working on producing the offset press edition, which should be jumping onto a ship any day now to cross the oceans to our fair shores. I'm still hoping to make this available by the end of the month, but that is largely in the hands of the Shipping Gods now.
eBook Edition Tests
I've been experimenting with workflows to convert Mythic and Crafter books into reflowable ePubs. A Patreon Mythicist has graciously agreed to help check these tests for how well they work and for optimizations. I'm hoping to be able to make reflowable versions of most books, and future books. It's all a work in progress right now, since there are conversion steps and it does take some time. I'll let you know when one is available and you can tell me how it looks to you!

Mythic Magazine Compilation #7
The seventh Compilation should go live this month! It's going through final proofing, but I don't expect any problems. POD will follow soon after.

Micro Mythic & Mythic Roleplaying Second Edition
Both of these books are moving along well, with chapters coming together at a steady pace and Mel hard at work line editing it. I'll probably be tapping playtesters again soon to flight test some of the MRPG2e rules. I think these two books will be worthy companions to Mythic GME 2e; they will form something of a trilogy of books that can all go together.
The Mythic App Rebirth Is About To Happen
Jason at Jason Holt Digital has been hard at work fine tuning the new Mythic GME 2e app, and it's looking really sharp! If you've been following his dev log posts on the Mythic Discord you know he's being very thorough and taking tons of player input into account. I'm really looking forward to this going out into the wild once again, which should happen soon :)
Future Projects Poll?
I have a list of future projects, broken down by priority. It's a pretty long list that would easily take me 10+ years to complete. That's a lot of stuff! Right now, you know about the top 4 items: Compilation #7, Mythic RPG 2e, Micro Mythic, and the Mythic GME app. My question to the mighty Mythicists is, would you be interested in seeing the whole list and to vote on how it should be prioritized? There are 20 items in the complete list, so lots of things to choose from. Please let me know in the comments below.
That's about it for now! Good luck with your adventures, and I hope the One-Page Mystery Crafter is getting broken in by some of you :)
Happy adventuring!

Micro Mythic cannot come fast enough. I'm a one-track mind on this.

2024-11-10 02:37:20 +0000 UTCYeah, I'm starting to agree with this position. A lot of the future projects are just concepts right now too, there's a good chance they will morph into something different than their original idea. That seems to happen a lot, so I'd hate to say something is coming only for it to turn into something else.

2024-11-09 20:13:56 +0000 UTCI think it's more fun to have future projects be a surprise till they're in the works :3 (though perhaps I am biased as the editor who gets sneak peeks into whatever you're working on, lol)

2024-11-09 09:42:25 +0000 UTCMaybe when it comes to the list of what's coming, instead of making it a poll I can just list the next five projects or so. The next 3 are always in active development, I tend to work on three at a time. The two after that are what would follow, so listing 5 may be more informative. Instead of a poll, maybe we discuss the projects if anyone wants to.

2024-11-08 20:10:01 +0000 UTCI'm glad you said that, because that's one of the reasons why I asked. I wasn't sure how to articulate "if you want to see it, because there are reasons why you may not ..." But here you are, articulating it perfectly lol I usually like to just talk about things that are next in line, the next three projects. Those are more tangible. Considering how long it takes me to make a new book I'm not sure how useful it would be to look beyond the next three.

2024-11-08 20:07:11 +0000 UTCTheir business offices are in Illinois, but they print in China. I'm picturing an Indiana Jones style movie clip where we see a map and an arrow wending it's way across the globe!

2024-11-08 20:04:35 +0000 UTCYeah, PDFs can get pretty random on an ereader, especially with complicated layouts like RPG books usually have. I'm feeling pretty good about the workflow I'm developing. I just have to get it to a place where it's fast and efficient to convert, and the results are optimized. Unfortunately, there are no good tools to automate this process which is a shame. This seems like a market that would be perfect for an app that can crunch a complex design and convert it to a reflowable epub.

2024-11-08 20:02:56 +0000 UTCAbsolutely love the idea of an onepage conversation crafter. I could also imagine a success crafter with suggestions for consequences of a partial success.

2024-11-08 19:51:53 +0000 UTCI would really appreciate the epub versions! I try to read the Mythic Mags on my Kobo and it tries its best but PDFs are just hard to read on ereaders.

2024-11-08 19:40:47 +0000 UTCI might be in the minority here, but I think I'd prefer you to decide your creative preferences on order of creation. I think seeing "what could have been" usually makes "what is" a bit less fun. Not by a lot, but just a little. Also, I'm really excited for all of this. :)
