Progress Journal, October #2

Greetings Mythicists! I hope your October has been pleasant so far, and your adventures full of mystery and monsters :)

So what's been going on since the last Progress Journal ...

Mythic Magazine Compilation #6 POD Is Alive!
I finally got the POD proofs squared away and this Compilation is now available in book form on DTRPG. Yay! Hopefully I can get this onto Amazon soon, too.

Micro Mythic Moves Along
The Micro Mythic book is moving along well. With this latest issue of Mythic Magazine including a One-Page ruleset for the Mystery Matrix, I decided that should also go into Micro Mythic, which brings the number of One-Pagers in the book up to 9. I considered whether I should include it, but in addition to being an RPG composed of 9 pages of rules, I also want it to be a complete collection of One-Pagers. So in it goes!

The image above is a detail from Jorge's cover for Mythic Magazine #47, featuring the One-Page Mystery Crafter. I thought since it's October we should do a Halloween theme Big Example mystery. So it's going to be a group of kids solving a ghostly mystery with strong Scooby Doo flavor.

Mythic GME 2e Offset Press Edition Has Been Digitally Approved
I reviewed the digital proofs of the offset edition, and had to fix one little graphic problem, but after that the digital proof got the thumbs up! I'm going the extra mile and having a print proof sent to me, which adds a few weeks, but since this is my first foray into the exciting and dangerous world of offset printing I figured I would be as cautious as possible. They are sending me 8 pages of the book to see how the color is processing. I don't expect any problems, but who ever really does?

The Podcast Has Something Extra
We went ahead with the AMA idea, and the podcast now includes answering a random question at the beginning! I think this is a fun new addition to the podcast, and we'll see what questions show up.

I don't know if you noticed in the chat section of the Patreon, but Mythicist Lori Beth had an idea for what Vi's motorcycle should look like. I've never seen such a thing as the picture she posted! This has led to me pondering having Jorge make artwork for the podcast that can maybe be used in the magazine as Big Examples. A podcast/magazine crossover? What do you think?

A Book With Lots Of Meaning
A Mythic player suggested I collect tables from various sources into a single book, and I happen to have been thinking about that very thing. I've added to my production schedule a book I am tentatively calling The Big Book Of Mythic Meaning Tables, which would compile every Meaning Table from every source I've put out so far into a single book. Maybe have it be a coil bound book on Lulu. I don't even know how many Meaning tables there are, they're scattered throughout so many issues of the magazine. Do you think this would be a useful resource?
